Pia Skrzyszowska (born 20 April 2001) [3] is a Polish athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. She won gold medals in the 100 metres hurdles at the 2022 European Championships and 2021 European Under-23 Championships.
Skrzyszowska was the 2019 European U20 Championship 100 m hurdles silver medallist. She is a three-time Polish national champion.
Pia Skrzyszowska's mother, Jolanta Bartczak, is a former Olympic long jumper and 1988 European Indoor Championship bronze medallist. [4]
She won the silver medal in the 100 metres hurdles at the 2019 European Under-20 Championships held in Borås, Sweden, at the age of 18. [3]
Aged 19, she finished fifth in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2021 European Indoor Championships on home soil in Toruń. She won the gold medal in the 100 m hurdles at the European Under-23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia that year. [3]
In 2022, Skrzyszowska became triple Polish national champion. [3] At the European Athletics Championships held in August in Munich, she claimed her first major senior title, with gold in the 100 m hurdles in a time of 12.53 seconds. [3] She added silver for the women's 4 × 100 m relay alongside Anna Kiełbasińska, Marika Popowicz-Drapała and Ewa Swoboda.
In her 2023 season's debut on 29 January, Skrzyszowska won the 60 m hurdles at the ISTAF Indoor Düsseldorf in Germany in a personal best of 7.84 seconds. [5] Just a few days later, she produced a world-leading 7.78 s at the Orlen Cup on home soil in Łódź to come within hundredth of a second of Polish record set by Zofia Bielczyk in 1980. [6] At the 2023 European Games Pia Skrzyszowska won the women’s 100 metres hurdles in Chorzów, in 12.77 seconds.
In 2024, she set her personal best of 12.37 seconds in La Chaux-de-Fonds. [7]

Derval O'Rourke is an Irish former sprint hurdles athlete. She competed internationally in the 60 and 100 metres hurdles, and is the Irish national record holder in the former. She participated in two Indoor World Championships, five Outdoor World Championships and the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Grażyna Józefa Rabsztyn is a retired Polish hurdler. She represented her country at the Summer Olympics on three occasions (1972–1980) and was a finalist each time.

Anna Kiełbasińska is a Polish sprinter who competed occasionally also in hurdling events. She won the bronze medal in the 400 metres as well as silver medals in the 4 x 100 m and 4 x 400 m relays at the 2022 European Championships. Kiełbasińska earned bronze for the 400 m at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. She won several major medals as part of Polish 4 x 400 m relay teams and also individual medals at European Under-20 and U23 Championships.
Lucy Hatton is a British track and field athlete competing in the hurdles. She was the silver medallist in the 60 metres hurdles at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2015. Her personal best of 7.90 seconds in that event ranks her third on the British all-time lists.
Ewa Nikola Swoboda is a Polish track and field sprinter who specialises in the short sprints. She is a World Indoor Championships silver medallist, two-time European Championships silver medallist, European Indoor Championships gold and two-time silver medallist, and European Games gold and silver medallist. Swoboda is a two-time Olympian and competed at the 2016 and 2024 Summer Olympics.

Elisabeth Davin is a Belgian athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. She represented her country at the 2009 World Championships and 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships without advancing from the first round. In addition, she won a gold medal at the 2009 Jeux de la Francophonie.
Klaudia Siciarz is a Polish athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. In February 2017 she ran 8.00 seconds in the 60 metres hurdles which was the world U20 record until being broken by Tara Davis with 7.98 the following indoor season. In addition, she won a bronze medal in the 100 metres hurdles at the 2017 European U20 Championships and the silver at the 2019 European U23 Championships.
Zoë Frederique Sedney is a Dutch athlete who competes in the hurdles, 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay. Sedney won two gold medals at the 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. As a senior in 2021, she competed in both the European Indoor Championships and the Summer Olympics. In 2022, she became part of the 4 × 100 metres Dutch relay team, competing together with her older sister Naomi Sedney.
Cyréna Samba-Mayela is a French athlete who competes in the 60 metres hurdles and 100 metres hurdles. She won the gold medal in the 60 m hurdles at the 2022 World Indoor Championships, a silver medal at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships where she lowered the current French national record to 7.73 seconds, and the gold medal at the 2024 European Athletics Championships, where she established a new personal best, national record and championship record at 12.31 seconds. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Samba-Mayela won a silver medal in the 100 m hurdles event.
