Pemba South Region is bordered to the south by Indian Ocean, north by Pemba North Region and the west by Pemba channel. The regional capital is Mkoani.. The region has the fifth highest HDI in the country, making one of the most developed regions in the country. The region has the highest standard of living on Pemba Island. According to the 2012 census, the region has a total population of 195,116.

Pemba North Region or North Pemba Region is one of the 31 regions of Tanzania. The region covers an area of 574 km2 (222 sq mi). The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of Saint Lucia. and the administrative region is located entirely on the island of Pemba. Pemba North Region is bordered to the north by Indian Ocean, south by Pemba South Region and the west by Pemba channel. The regional capital is Wete. According to the 2012 census, the region has a total population of 211,732.

Unguja North Region, Zanzibar North Region or North Zanzibar Region is one of the 31 regions of Tanzania. The region covers an area of 407 km2 (157 sq mi). The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of Andorra. and the administrative region is located entirely on the island of Zanzibar. Unguja North Region is bordered on three sides to the north by Indian Ocean, southeast by Unguja South Region and southwest by Mjini Magharibi Region. The regional capital is the town of Mkokotoni. The region has the fifth highest HDI in the country, making one of the most developed regions in the country.According to the 2012 census, the region has a total population of 187, 455. Zanzibar North is divided into two districts, Kaskazini A and Kaskazini B.

Iringa Region is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The region covers an area of 35,503 km2 (13,708 sq mi). The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of Guinea Bissau. Iringa Region is bordered to the east by Morogoro Region and south by Njombe Region. On the west the region is bordered by Mbeya Region. Dodoma Region and Singida Region border Iringa on the north. The regional capital is the city Iringa for which the city is named after. According to the 2012 census, the region has a total population of 941,238. Iringa Region is home to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania's second national largest park.

Mbeya Region is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The region covers an area of 35,954 km2 (13,882 sq mi). The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of Guinea Bissau. Mbeya Region is bordered to the east by Singida Region, Iringa Region and Njombe Region. The region is bordered to the south by Malawi and Lake Nyasa. To the north the region borders southern Tabora Region. Lastly, Mbeya is bordered to the west by Songwe Region. The regional capital is the city of Mbeya. According to the 2012 national census, the region had a population of 2,707,410.

Lilongwe is a district in the Central Region of Malawi. The capital is Lilongwe.

Mchinji is a district in the Central Region of Malawi. The capital is Mchinji. The district covers an area of 3,356 km2 (1,296 sq mi) and has a population of 602,305. The area's economy is sustained by rain-fed agriculture.

Bidar district is the northernmost part of the Karnataka state in India. The administrative headquarters of district is Bidar city. Geographically, it resembles the "Crown of the State", occupying its northeastern end. It is bounded by Kamareddy and Sangareddy districts of Telangana state on the eastern side, Latur and Osmanabad districts of Maharashtra state on the western side, Nanded district of Maharashtra state on the northern side and Kalaburagi district on the southern side.

Songwe Region is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The region covers a land area of 27,656 km2 (10,678 sq mi). The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of Haiti. Songwe Region borders the countries of Zambia and Malawi to the south: Tunduma is the main entry point into Zambia while Isongole is the main entry point into Malawi. Songwe also borders the Tanzanian regions of Rukwa and Katavi in the west, Tabora in the north, and Mbeya in the east. Lake Rukwa is a major body of water in the western part of the region. The region was created on 29 January 2016 from the western half of Mbeya Region. The regional capital is Vwawa. According to the 2012 national census, the region had a population of 998,862.
