As of the census [7] of 2010, there were 3,142 people, 1,034 households, and 911 families living in the city. The population density was 538.9 inhabitants per square mile (208.1/km2). There were 1,072 housing units at an average density of 183.9 per square mile (71.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.6% White, 0.7% African American, 0.1% Native American, 2.1% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.5% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.3% of the population.
There were 1,034 households, of which 46.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 83.8% were married couples living together, 1.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.4% had a male householder with no wife present, and 11.9% were non-families. 8.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.04 and the average family size was 3.23.
The median age in the city was 39.1 years. 31.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 4.7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.5% were from 25 to 44; 31.6% were from 45 to 64; and 8% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.1% male and 48.9% female.

The racial makeup of the city was 98.17% White, 0.17% Native American, 0.50% Asian, 0.11% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.38% of the population.

The average household size was 3.05 and the average family size was 3.27.
