Six is the sixth studio album by American hard rock band Extreme, released on June 9, 2023. It is their first studio album since Saudades de Rock , released in 2008.
In the lead-up for the album release, on March 1, 2023, Extreme released a video of "Rise" as a first single. The video crossed 1 million views in its first week, propelled by interest in Nuno Bettencourt's guitar solo, [4] which led to a number of analysis videos, including a reaction by Justin Hawkins [5] from The Darkness, and breakdown by Rick Beato. [6] Readers of Total Guitar magazine voted the song’s solo the third best of the 21st century in a 2023 poll. [7]
"Rise" was followed by a double A-side single released on April 19, featuring songs "#Rebel" and "Banshee". Each song was accompanied by a music video. The fourth and final song released prior to the album launch was "Other Side of the Rainbow", released May 31. In the month of the album's release, Nuno Bettencourt was featured in the cover of several guitar magazines, including Total Guitar , Japan's Young Guitar , the French edition of Rolling Stone , [8] and Germany's Guitar .
The name of the gorilla that appears on the cover of the Six album is Pakenuga, according to Nuno Bettencourt. [9] The name is a composite of the first two letters of each band member's first name (Pat, Kevin, Nuno, Gary).

Extreme are an American rock band formed in Malden, Massachusetts, in 1985, that reached the height of their popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They have released six studio albums, two EPs and two compilation albums since their formation. The band was one of the most successful rock acts of the early 1990s, selling over 10 million albums worldwide.
The Miracle is the thirteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 22 May 1989 by Parlophone Records and Capitol Records in both the United Kingdom and the U.S. respectively, where it was the band's only studio album to be released on latter label. The album was recorded as the band recovered from Brian May's marital problems and Freddie Mercury's HIV diagnosis in 1987. Recording started in January 1988 and lasted for an entire year. The album was originally going to be called The Invisible Men, but three weeks before the release, according to Roger Taylor, they changed the name to The Miracle. It was also the last Queen album with a photo of the band on the front cover.
Anthology 1 is a compilation album by the Beatles, released on 20 November 1995 by Apple Records as part of The Beatles Anthology series. It features rarities, outtakes and live performances from the period 1958–64, including songs with original bass player Stuart Sutcliffe and drummer Pete Best. Cross Road is the first official greatest hits album by American rock band Bon Jovi, released on October 11, 1994, by Mercury Records. The album contains hits from all previously released albums from their debut, Bon Jovi (1984) to Keep the Faith (1992). The album also features two new tracks: the hit singles "Always" and "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", as well as a new, updated rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" entitled "Prayer '94" available only on the North American versions.
Nuno Duarte Gil Mendes Bettencourt is a Portuguese-American guitarist. He became known as the lead guitarist of the Boston rock band Extreme. Bettencourt has recorded a solo album and has founded rock bands including Mourning Widows, DramaGods, and Satellite Party.
III Sides to Every Story is the third studio album by the American rock band Extreme, released on September 14, 1992, through A&M Records. It was the follow-up to the very successful Pornograffitti album. It was the last album that fully featured the band's original line-up: Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Badger and Paul Geary; Geary later left, and was replaced by Mike Mangini.
"More Than Words" is a song by American rock band Extreme. The song is a ballad featuring acoustic guitar work by Nuno Bettencourt and the vocals of Gary Cherone. The song represented a departure from the band's usual funk metal style. "More Than Words" was released as the third single from the band's second album, Pornograffitti (1990), on March 12, 1991. The song was a number one hit in the United States, where it was certified gold.
Waiting for the Punchline is the fourth album by American band Extreme, released in 1995. It is known by fans as a distinctively raw-sounding record with a significant influence from grunge, especially when compared to the big production of the two previous albums. Due to its lyrics focused heavily on social matters it is often cited as a concept album. It is also the only Extreme record to feature drummer Mike Mangini. After the album's tour, Extreme disbanded in 1996 when Bettencourt informed the band that he was leaving to pursue a solo career. After the breakup, singer Gary Cherone joined Van Halen in the same year as their new singer, but left three years later.
Saudades de Rock is the fifth album by the American rock band Extreme. Released on August 12, 2008, it was the band's first album of new material since 1995's Waiting for the Punchline, and also their first release with new drummer Kevin Figueiredo.
Live from Madison Square Garden is a double CD and DVD live album by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, which was released on 19 May 2009 by Duck / Reprise Records. The album is made up of recordings from Clapton and Winwood's performances at Madison Square Garden in February 2008. It is Clapton's ninth live album and Winwood's first live album as a solo artist.
Slash is the debut solo studio album by American rock and roll musician Saul "Slash" Hudson, best known as the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses. Released in 2010, the album was produced by Eric Valentine and features multiple musicians, including four of the five members of the Appetite for Destruction-era Guns N' Roses lineup: Slash himself, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler.

Love Songs is a compilation album by British hard rock band Whitesnake, released on 6 November 2020 by Rhino Records. The album contains "revisited, remixed and remastered" versions of previously released songs, and is the second in a series called Red, White and Blues Trilogy following The Rock Album (2020) and followed by The Blues Album (2021). Compared to other two compilation, this one did not manage to chart on the UK Albums Chart, but it topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
Sob Rock is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter John Mayer, released on July 16, 2021, by Columbia Records. The single "New Light", released in May 2018, is included on the album, as are Mayer's two singles from 2019, "I Guess I Just Feel Like" and "Carry Me Away". The lead single "Last Train Home" was released on June 4, 2021, and features guest vocals from Maren Morris. Mayer toured the United States with Dead & Company from August through October 2021 and embarked on a solo tour in support of the album in 2022.
4 is the fourth studio album by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and Slash's fifth solo album overall. It was released on February 11, 2022, as the first album from the new Gibson Records label. The album was produced by country producer Dave Cobb in Nashville. Immutable is the ninth studio album by Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah. It was released on April 1st 2022 via Atomic Fire Records, making it the band's first studio album to not be released through Nuclear Blast.
Deceivers is the eleventh studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy. Originally scheduled for a 29 July 2022 release, the album was pushed back to 12 August 2022 for undisclosed reasons. Deceivers is Arch Enemy's first studio album since 2017's Will to Power, marking the longest gap between two of their studio albums. It is also the second and last studio album to feature guitarist Jeff Loomis before his departure from the band in 2023.
