Bireuën Regency is a regency of Aceh, the westernmost province of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The capital is Bireuën, 105 miles east of the provincial capital, Banda Aceh. The regency covers an area of 1,798.25 square kilometres and had a population of 340,271 people according to the 2000 Census; at the 2010 Census it had a population of 389,288, which had risen to 436,418 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 443,874 - comprising 219,039 males and 224,835 females. It is bordered by the Strait of Malacca on the northeast coastline. Bireuen has been affected by the clashes between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the government, and by the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami on 26 December 2004.
West Aceh Regency is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency currently covers an area of 2,927.95 square kilometres and had a population of 173,558 at the 2010 Census and 198,736 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 202,858. The town of Meulaboh remains the seat of the regency government. The regency is a palm oil-producing area. Some of the people of the regency are Minangkabau-descended Aneuk Jamee.

The regency was created on 10 April 2002 under Statute UU 4/2002 from the northern part of Aceh Tenggara. Its capital is Blangkejeren. The regency covers an area of 5,549.91 square kilometres and had a population of 79,560 at the 2010 Census and 99,532 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 103,131. Along with the Central Aceh Regency and the Bener Meriah Regency, it is home to the Gayo people.
Bener Meriah Regency is a regency in Aceh Special District, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 1,941.61 square kilometres and it had a population of 122,277 at the 2010 census and 161,342 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 168,690 - comprising 85,520 males and 83,170 females. Its capital is the town of Simpang Tiga Redelong. Until 2003 the present territory of this regency was the northern part of the Central Aceh Regency, from which it was split away.
South Aceh Regency is a regency in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It is located on the west coast of the island of Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 4,173.82 square kilometres and had a population of 202,251 at the 2010 Census and 232,414 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 237,376. Aceh Singkil Regency is a regency in the Aceh province of Indonesia. It is situated largely on the island of Sumatra, but also includes the offshore Banyak Islands, the largest of which is Tuangku, with the principal town of Alaban. Until 1999 it also included the large offshore island of Simeulue, but in that year the island was split off to create its own separate regency. The seat of the Aceh Singkil Regency government is at the port of Singkil on the Sumatra coast. The Regency covers an area of 1,857.88 km2, and had a population of 102,509 at the 2010 Census, rising to 114,326 at the 2015 Census and to 126,514 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 130,787.

Tanggamus Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km² and had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 652,898. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997, but districts in its eastern part were split away on 29 October 2008 to form a new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province, and surrounds Semangka Bay on its west, north and east coasts.
West Tulang Bawang Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 29 October 2008 from what were formerly the western districts of Tulang Bawang Regency. It has an area of 1,201.15 km2 and had a population of 250,707 people at the 2010 Census and 286,162 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 289,620. The regency seat is the town of Panaragan Jaya.
Southwest Maluku Regency is a regency of Maluku Province, Indonesia. Geographically it forms the most eastern portion of the Lesser Sunda Islands, although it has never been administratively included with them, and politically has always comprised a part of the Maluku Province. West Muna Regency is a new regency of Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, established under Act No.14 of 2014, dated 23 July 2014 by separation from the Muna Regency. It covers an area of 906.28 km2, and the districts comprising it had a population of 71,632 at the 2010 Census; the 2020 Census resulted in a population of 84,590, and the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 84,777, comprising 41,888 males and 42,889 females. The administrative centre lies at Laworo.
