Taloja is a census town in Raigad district of Navi Mumbai city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is an extension of the Kharghar node and governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation. Taloja has Navi Mumbai Metro Phase I starting origin point at Pendhar. Taloja is divided into two phases as Phase I and Phase II by CIDCO. CIDCO has developed mass housing project in Taloja Phase II and development work is in progress. Taloja is connected to other parts of Navi Mumbai through Indian Railways, Navi Mumbai Metro & NMMT buses. Taloja is going to be connected soon by the new international airport, Navi Mumbai International Airport(NMIA).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Taloje Panchnand had a population of 10,858. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Taloje Panchnand has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 61%. In Taloje Panchnand, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. [1]

Panvel is a city and taluka in Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is highly populated due to its closeness to Mumbai. Panvel is also governed for development purpose by the body of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Panvel Municipal Corporation is the first Municipal Corporation in Raigad and the 27th Municipal corporation of Maharashtra State.

Kudal is a census town in Sindhudurg district, Maharashtra, India. It is situated on River Karli in southwest Maharashtara. Kudal is the fourth largest town in Sindhudurg after Sawantwadi, Malvan and Kankavli. As of 2011, the population is 16,015. Kudal supports one MIDC area in the Konkan division. The Kudal railway station is located on the Konkan Railway route and connects the town with Mumbai metro situated in the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway of the north, and Mangalore on the south. It is a major stop for the Konkan Railway. The Deccan Odyssey train also stops in Kudal. National Highway 66 passes through Kudal. Apart from that, it also has two bus stations, a new one and old one. The old one is situated in market while the new one is just adjacent to the NH-66. Kudal is situated in centre of the Sindhudurg district and also considered one of the fastest-growing towns in the Konkan region. The Desai's were the original rulers of Kudal, who were tributaries of the Bijapur Sultanate, later the Marathas and then under the British.

Kalamboli is one of the nodes of Navi Mumbai in Raigad District. It is a transportation hub, being situated at the junction of the Sion-Panvel Highway, NH 48, Panvel By-Pass, NH 66 and Mumbai-Pune Expressway and is among the biggest iron and steel delivery centers in India. The township, like the rest of Navi Mumbai, is divided into sectors, which are further divided into plots. The residential and commercial areas of Kalamboli are divided by the NH 4 highway. Roadpali, a region to the north of Kalamboli, is developing at a faster rate than the latter with many residential projects coming up due to availability of land. Roadpali is located along the Taloja Link Road. Kalamboli also houses the Navi Mumbai Police Headquarters. CIDCO is the nodal administrative body for Kalamboli node. Kalamboli also has a Sewage Water Treatment Plant owned by CIDCO. Kalamboli is now governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC). The terminal of Mumbai-Pune Expressway is at Kalamboli. It also has Navi Mumbai's largest marble market alongside the Sion Panvel Highway.

The Navi Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system under construction in the Indian city of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The planning and construction of the Navi Mumbai Metro is being overseen by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The system is planned to consist of five rail lines covering a total distance of 106.4 kilometres (66.1 mi). The foundation stone for the project was laid on 1 May 2011; following construction delays, the metro's first line was projected to open in 2020. However, despite completion of construction after several delays due to COVID-19 pandemic, which caused lockdowns, curfews, and lack of labour, the deadline is pushed indefenitely for commissioning of the first line of Navi Mumbai Metro. The metro's rolling stock are being provided by CSR Zhuzhou.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Navde Road railway station</span> Railway Station in Maharashtra, India

Navade Road is a railway station on the Vasai Road–Diva–Panvel–Roha route of the Central Line, of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Navade node is a small node developed by CIDCO with single point access to the node. It is like a small township with 165 plots and approx 80-90 buildings. It's a part of Navi Mumbai city. Construction in this area is in developing stage and good properties are available. It has got good transportation facility from Panvel via six seater rickshaw and 73 numbered route of NMMT bus, KDMT bus nos. 20 & 70, and from CBD Belapur, NMMT bus nos. 71 and 72. There is also an auto rickshaw stand in Navade. It has close proximity to Kharghar node of CIDCO with Navade village falling in Kharghar sec 45. Also close proximity to Kalamboli. D Mart is 1 km from Navade node and Reliance Smart 0.5 km. Navi Mumbai Metro line 1 phase 2 will be passing through Navade road and shall have interconnection with Navade railway station. Panvel–Virar local train which is approved from the government and the work is expected to start soon. There are many prominent buildings like Devdrishti, Dev Aashirwad, Neelkamal, Keshav Garden, Laxmi Kalash CHS etc. Navade colony is on NH4 highway and connects to Sion Panvel Expressway via Taloja link road. Usually there is heavy traffic of trailers and trucks due to JNPT, oil refineries as well as, nearby MIDC area, but once the NH4 road widening and flyover is completed and proposed service roads are constructed, much lighter traffic is expected. There is also smell problem from nearby Taloja MIDC for which Navade and Kharghar/Kalamboli residents are fighting. Nearby Kasadi river is passing through Navade node but this river has contaminated water and the aqua life is totally dead due to careless attitude of the factories in Taloja MIDC. Recently CIDCO had started to construct a holding pond in Navade near Devdrishti apartment but left it half done after some works. The internal roads have been in too poor state waiting for the awarded contractor to start construction work. CIDCO has developed a beautiful garden with children play area with slides and other equipments. Although small, this garden is having a jogging track, benches and lush green lawn. Unlike other CIDCO nodes. There is an indoor playzone and family entertainment zone named "Happy Town." recently open in Navade where families can spend their time instead of going far for malls. There are plots reserved for Police station, market, temple and post office but is not at all developed from CIDCO. Every Thursday and Saturday there is market which sells vegetables, household items, clothes, bags, shoes etc. Almost all types of shops are opened in Navade node and it is self contained with very less dependency of travelling to other nodes. Also there is one 6 bed full-fledged hospital Anand Hospital in Navade apart from various clinics. Heavy vehicles and trailers are parked illegally at the internal roadside for which government should take action to avoid inconvenience to Navade residences.
