The Second Coming Tour is the seventh concert tour by American rock band, Faith No More. The tour supported their sixth greatest hits album, The Very Best Definitive Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection (2009). The tour primarily visited Europe with additional shows in Asia, Australasia and the Americas. Beginning in June 2009, the tour played over fifty shows, with a majority being an appearance at a music festival. It marks the band's first tour after over a decade hiatus.

The band garnered media attention, when talks of a tour in the United Kingdom began to circulate in November 2008. [1] These rumors were later dismissed by bassist Billy Gould. He stated:

"If anything like this were to happen, it would have to come from the band, and I haven't spoken with any of them in over a year. So as far as I know, there isn't anything to talk about, and I'm pretty sure that if you were to contact Patton, he would tell you the same thing." [2]

On February 24, 2009, the band announced they were reforming with the same lineup during their 1997 album era. [3] This announcement was following by a statement from the band's publicity hinted at a European tour. [4] A month later, it was revealed the band was the headlining act for the Download Festival. News of other festival appearances later followed. [5] The band posted pictures on their social media for their rehearsals for the tour. [6] With more shows in Europe revealed, many fans wondered about shows in North America. Gould mentioned the thought of touring the US was "not out of the question" but chances were slim, as there was heavy demand elsewhere. [7]

The tour officially ended in March 2010. However, the band continued to tour throughout the year and into 2012 with several one-off concerts and festival shows in the United States and Europe.

Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1979. Before settling on the current name in July 1983, the band performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man. The A Rush of Blood to the Head Tour was the second concert tour undertaken by British rock band Coldplay. It was launched in support of their second studio album A Rush of Blood to the Head. They performed a total of 152 shows across Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. Between 21 and 23 July 2003, the band filmed Coldplay Live 2003 at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. According to Billboard, the official concert-run sold an average of 6,641 tickets per date, grossing around $197,950 for each one of them.

The Dig Out Your Soul Tour was the final world concert tour by English rock band Oasis, in support of their album Dig Out Your Soul. The tour started in Seattle, Washington at the WaMu Theater on 26 August 2008 and was planned to continue until 30 August 2009, where they were scheduled to play their final show of the tour at the I-Day Festival in Milan, Italy. However, on 28 August 2009, after a fight between the Gallaghers in the backstage, their manager announced the cancellation of their concert at the Rock-en-Seine festival near Paris just minutes before it was about to begin, the cancellation of the European tour and that the group "does not exist anymore", referring a coming statement from Noel Gallagher.

Alive 2006/2007 was a concert tour by French electronic music duo Daft Punk. The world-spanning tour was their first as a duo since 1997, as well as being the duo's final tour. The Into the Wild Tour was the second worldwide concert tour by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars in support of the band's third studio album, This Is War. The tour reached the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia over a two-year period and it marks the first major concert tour the band has performed in North America and Australia. The American Beauty/American Psycho Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Fall Out Boy. Supporting the band's sixth studio album American Beauty/American Psycho (2015), the tour visited North America and Europe in 2015.
