The Union Trust Company Building is a historic bank building at 1351 Main Street in Springfield, Massachusetts. Built in 1907, it is one of the city's best examples of Beaux arts architecture, and one of only a few designs in the city by the noted architectural firm Peabody & Stearns. It is particularly noted for its facade, which resembles a triumphal arch. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. [1]
The Union Trust Company Building is located in downtown Springfield, on the east side of Main Street between Harrison Avenue and Bruce Landon Way. It is a two-story masonry structure, with a limestone facade and marble-faced foundation. The front of the building was designed to resemble a triumphal arch, with the entrance recessed from massive piers supporting a rounded arch, and topped by a large decorated cornice and parapet. The inside face of the arch is decorated with rosettes, and the spandrels are filled by Classical carvings executed by John Evans. The entrance is topped by a bracketed cornice that is surmounted by a cartouche with flanking baskets. [2]
The Union Trust Company was founded in 1906 by the merger of three city banks, including its oldest, the Springfield Bank (founded 1814). This building served as the headquarters of that bank and its successors until 1970. It is one of a handful of works in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts that were designed by the nationally prominent Boston architectural firm Peabody & Stearns. [2] It was listed in 1978. [1]
The Lewiston Trust and Safe Deposit Company is a historic commercial building at 46 Lisbon Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1898, it is one of the least-altered designs of the important local architectural firm Coombs, Gibbs & Wilkinson. Its only significant alterations were in 1926 and the 1940s, when it served as a retail space occupied by Grant's Clothing for many years. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It continues to house retail and other commercial tenants.
The Wells Block is a historic mixed use commercial and residential block at 250-264 Worthington Street in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It has been mostly demolished, preserving the facade as part of the MGM Springfield casino project.

The Union Arcade is an apartment building located in downtown Davenport, Iowa, United States. The building was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 by its original name Union Savings Bank and Trust. Originally, the building was built to house a bank and other professional offices. Although it was not the city's largest bank, and it was not in existence all that long, the building is still associated with Davenport's financial prosperity between 1900 and 1930. From 2014 to 2015 the building was renovated into apartments and it is now known as Union Arcade Apartments. In 2020 it was included as a contributing property in the Davenport Downtown Commercial Historic District.
