Ayeyarwady Region is a region of Myanmar, occupying the delta region of the Ayeyarwady River. It is bordered by the Rakhine State to the northwest, the Bago Region to the north, Bago Region and Yangon Region to the east, and the Bay of Bengal to the south and west.
The University of Computer Studies, Yangon (UCSY), located in the outskirts of Yangon in Hlawga, is the leading IT and computer science university of Myanmar. The university, administered by the Ministry of Education, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in computer science and technology. The language of instruction at UCSY is English. Maubin Township, alternatively spelt Ma-ubin Township is a township of Maubin District in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar. The Township borders Kyaiklat Township of Pyapon District to its south. Its western border is defined by the Irrawaddy River with Wakema Township of Myaungmya District to its west and Pantanaw Township to the northwest. Its north and northwest borders are within Maubin District with Nyaungdon Township completing the northeastern border. The township's eastern border follows the Khittaya-yaykyaw stream until it meets the Toe River, which it then follows. Yangon Region's Twantay Township borders it to the east bank of these water bodies. There are 12 urban wards and 76 village tracts totaling 442 villages in the township. The principal town of the township is Maubin.
Maubin District, formerly known as Thun-Khwa, is a district in Ayeyarwady Division, Myanmar. It consists of 39 wards, 235 village groups and 1642 villages organized into four townships - Maubin, Pantanaw, Nyaungdon and Danuphyu. The district lies on a flat plain, cut by many streams, which is 1,362 feet above sea level. It has an area of 1651.49 square miles. The majority of the population are Burmese and Kayin nationals.

Computer University (Taung-Ngu) was first opened on 4 September 2000 as a College in Katumati Myo Thit, Taung-Ngu. On 20 January 2007, it was promoted into university level and was transferred to the campus of Technology University(Taung-Ngu)in Kanyo village on 20 April 2008.

It was upgraded to Government Technological College on 31 May 2002, and to Technological University (Maubin) on 20 January 2007.

Dr Khin Maung Win (Burmese: ခင်မောင်ဝင်း; also known as Khin Maung Win (Math), 23 October 1940 – 3 August 2021) was a Burmese writer and retired math professor at the Yangon University. He is notable for topics ranging from math teachings and literature and has written many mathematical books in his career. His math books were collected for all school libraries as part of a development project of Myanmar Education.
