University of Computer Studies (Maubin) (Burmese : ကွန်ပျူတာတက္ကသိုလ်(မအူပင်)Burmese pronunciation: [kʊ̀ɰ̃pjùtàtɛʔkəθò(məʔùbɪ̀ɰ̃)] ), located in Maubin Township, about 100 km (62 mi) west of Yangon, is one of three computer universities in Ayeyarwady Region, which provides education in the area of ICT. The university offers both computer science and computer technology to its undergraduate students. The university's campus has an area of 53.872 acres (21.801 ha) and is situated between Ward 1 and 2, on Sein Mya Kan Thar Street, Maubin, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar.

History

Government Computer College (Maubin) started on January 1, 2003. It was upgraded to Computer University (Maubin) on January 20, 2007. [2] [3] In 2015, It was renamed as University of Computer Studies (Maubin).

In 2019, the students' union is officially established, which is called UCSMUB Students' Union.

Student associations/clubs

During the 2017–2018 academic year, IT Club was founded with the support of professors and teachers, and it was recognized by the rector of the university. And it is known as IT Club UCSMUB. [6]

Music Club, Dance Club, Handmade Club, and E-Sport Club are established as students' clubs by the students' union.

Product show

On February 22, 2019, the Product show at the university was held. [7] Students showed 41 products in total. "Information System of Private Hospital", [8] "Trip Advisor" and "Garden System" won the first, second, third prize respectively in the product show. "Smart Restaurant", [9] "APineKine" and "Smart Township System" [10] won the consolation prizes.

Maubin Township, alternatively spelt Ma-ubin Township is a township of Maubin District in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar. The Township borders Kyaiklat Township of Pyapon District to its south. Its western border is defined by the Irrawaddy River with Wakema Township of Myaungmya District to its west and Pantanaw Township to the northwest. Its north and northwest borders are within Maubin District with Nyaungdon Township completing the northeastern border. The township's eastern border follows the Khittaya-yaykyaw stream until it meets the Toe River, which it then follows. Yangon Region's Twantay Township borders it to the east bank of these water bodies. There are 12 urban wards and 76 village tracts totaling 442 villages in the township. The principal town of the township is Maubin.

The district lies on a flat plain, cut by many streams, which is 1,362 feet above sea level. It has an area of 1651.49 square miles. The majority of the population are Burmese and Kayin nationals.

Maubin is a town in the Ayeyarwady Division of south-west Myanmar. It is the seat of the Maubin Township in the Maubin District. The population as of 2021 was 51,542. The inhabitants of the town, as well as the district are mainly Bamar and Karen.

Hteinbin Cemetery, located in Hlaingthaya Township, is one of Yangon's largest cemeteries. The cemetery is maintained by the Yangon City Development Committee's environmental maintenance department.
