West Valley Township is a township in Marshall County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 147 at the 2000 census.
West Valley Township was organized in 1884, and named for the valley of the Middle River. [3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.4 square miles (94.2 km2), all land.
As of the 2000 United States Census, there were 147 people, 55 households, and 38 families residing in the township. The population density was 4.0 people per square mile (1.6/km2). There were 76 housing units at an average density of 2.1/sq mi (0.8/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
There were 55 households, out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.8% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.9% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 20.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
