Holt Township is a township in Marshall County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 147 at the 2000 census.
Holt Township was organized in 1890, and named for an early settler. [3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 33.7 square miles (87 km2), all of it land.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 147 people, 61 households, and 46 families residing in the township. The population density was 4.4 people per square mile (1.7/km2). There were 68 housing units at an average density of 2.0/sq mi (0.8/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.32% White, and 0.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.68% of the population.
There were 61 households, out of which 26.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.2% were married couples living together, 3.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.0% were non-families. 21.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.74.
