Wu Shujuan is a crater on Mercury. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) on November 14, 2024. The crater is named for Chinese painter Wu Shujuan (1853-1930). [1]
Wu Shujuan is east of Nairne crater. El Husseini crater is southeast of Wu Shujuan.

McLaughlin Crater, one of the deepest craters on Mars, contains Mg-Fe clays and carbonates that probably formed in a groundwater-fed alkaline lake. This type of lake could have had a massive biosphere of microscopic organisms.
