Branxton is a town in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. Branxton is 171 kilometres (106 mi) north of Sydney via the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway and New England Highway. Branxton is located mostly in the City of Cessnock, but part of it is in Singleton Shire.

Australian Vintage Limited (AVG) is an Australian public company that operates within the wine production industry. It was established by Brian McGuigan with the help of his wife, Fay, and younger brother, Neil McGuigan. The company was incorporated on 30 May 1991 in New South Wales under the name Roserim Limited. This name later changed to Brian McGuigan Wines Limited. After the merger with Simeon Wines in 2002, the company changed its name to McGuigan Simeon Wines Limited, before renaming it to Australian Vintage Limited in 2008. Its main business activities include retail and wholesale wine production, and vineyard management services.

Dalwood House is a heritage-listed homestead and now house museum at Dalwood Road, Branxton, Singleton Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1829 to 1838 by George Wyndham. It sits in the grounds of the former Wyndham Estate winery. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The brand is named after a species of deer famous for its antlers, that is also featured in its logo. It is produced in several company-owned as well as bottler-owned distilleries. It was the first whisky brand launched in India that did not use any artificial flavours.

Kenwood Vineyards is a winery in Kenwood, California, located on Highway 12 in the Sonoma Valley wine country. It is currently owned by Pernod Ricard Winemakers.
George Wyndham was an English farmer, wine-grower and pastoralist; he is famous for having established the Wyndham wineries and his estate Dalwood in the Hunter Valley, where he planted Australia's first commercial Shiraz vineyard. He played first-class cricket in England in his youth.
