Pudong is a district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name Pudong was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. It now refers to the broader Pudong New Area, a state-level new area which extends all the way to the East China Sea.
Line 2 is an east–west line in the Shanghai Metro network. With a length of nearly 64 km (40 mi), it is the second longest line in the metro system after line 11. Line 2 runs from East Xujing in the west to Pudong International Airport in the east, passing Hongqiao Airport, the Huangpu river, and the Lujiazui Financial District in Pudong. With a daily ridership of over 1.9 million, it is the busiest line on the Shanghai Metro. The eastern portion of the line, from Guanglan Road to Pudong International Airport, was operated almost independently from the main segment until April 19, 2019, when through service began. The line is colored light green on system maps.

Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park is a station on Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro. This station had been the line's eastern terminus from 27 December 2000, after an eastward extension from Longyang Road to Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park opened, until 24 February 2010, when the line was extended further eastward to Guanglan Road. From 14 to 23 February 2010, this station was shut down, and Line 2 service terminated at Longyang Road, to allow for reconstruction work; the new underground Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station was built on the northeast side of the old, elevated station. This conversion allowed for greater compatibility with the 24 February 2010 opening of Jinke Road and Guanglan Road stations, which are both underground.
Dalian Software Park, also called DLSP, is an industrial zone, created in 1998 in the western suburbs of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, where many of the world's large and medium-sized IT-related companies have set up shop to do software development and information services. It is part of Dalian Hi-tech Zone in the broader sense. While American and European companies typically have gone to Bangalore and other cities in India because of the English language capability, Japanese companies have gone to Dalian and other cities in China due to the Japanese language capability.
The Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) is a synchrotron-radiation light source facility in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. Located in an eighteen-hectare campus at Shanghai National Synchrotron Radiation Centre, on the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in the Pudong district.
Jinqiao is a town of Pudong, Shanghai, China. It is in the middle of Pudong, with Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park on its south, Huangpu River at its north, overlooking Lujiazui Financial and Trade Center to its west. On its north side, is Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone and harbor. Jinqiao has a national development zone - Jinqiao Export Processing Zone. The area contains a relatively high proportion of foreign nationals and is notable for its large number of International Schools and comfortable environment.

Zhangjiang Tram was one of the two tram networks operating in Shanghai, the other being Songjiang Tram. It utilises a system manufactured by the French Translohr company. Shanghai originally had a steel wheeled electric tramway network in its urban center. Routes expanded gradually and reached largest extent in 1925 with 328 tramcars; this tram system shut down in 1975. Tram service returned to Shanghai with the opening of a rubber tired Translohr line in the suburban Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in 2010. It is the second rubber-tired tram system in both China and Asia, the first being TEDA tram in Tianjin.
Line 13 is a north-west to south-east line of the Shanghai Metro network. It runs between Jinyun Road in Jiading and Zhangjiang Road in Pudong. It was once used as a dedicated line for the World Expo to serve the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The line is colored pink on system maps.
Jinke Road is a station on Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro. Located along Zuchongzhi Road just east of its intersection with Jinke Road, the station is located between the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park and Guanglan Road stations. This station, with four exits, is part of the eastern extension of Line 2 from the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station, and opened February 24, 2010.
Guanglan Road is a station on Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro. The station is located along Zuchongzhi Road and is located between the stations of Tangzhen and the Jinke Road on Line 2. The station is located east of the intersection between Zuchongzhi Road and Guanglan Road, and has four exits. The station was opened on 24 February 2010, after Line 2 was extended from Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park.

The university is founded by contracts between the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The university has been added into Chinese state Double First Class University Plan since February 2022.
Qiantan International Business Zone (Shanghai) (simplified Chinese: 上海前滩国际商务区; traditional Chinese: 上海前灘國際商務區; pinyin: Shànghǎi Qiántān Guójì Shāngwùqū) also called the New Bund, is a newly built International Business Zone in Qiantan, Pudong, Shanghai, China, lying to the south of the former Expo 2010 site next to the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. It is known as Shanghai's "second Lujiazui" as the Secondary Central business district developing close to Lujiazui. It will be developed specifically as another new financial district of Shanghai, but will focus more on overall urban functionality.
