Line 21 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will run in a north–south direction through Pudong, connecting Gaohang in Waigaoqiao to the Disney Resort. The first phase will be about 28 km (17 mi) long with 10 stations. [1] Stations will have passing loops to allow for express and local stopping patterns. [1]

The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016. [2] [3] Previous plans in 2014 designated the Disney Resort — Guanglan Road section as Line 24.

Line 2 is an east–west line in the Shanghai Metro network. With a length of nearly 64 km (40 mi), it is the second longest line in the metro system after line 11. Line 2 runs from East Xujing in the west to Pudong International Airport in the east, passing Hongqiao Airport, the Huangpu river, and the Lujiazui Financial District in Pudong. With a daily ridership of over 1.9 million, it is the busiest line on the Shanghai Metro. The eastern portion of the line, from Guanglan Road to Pudong International Airport, was operated almost independently from the main segment until April 19, 2019, when through service began. The line is colored light green on system maps.

Line 11 is a northwest–southeast line of the Shanghai Metro network. Since October 2013, Line 11 serves Kunshan city, making it is the second intercity metro in China after the Guangfo Metro and the first that crosses a provincial boundary. With a single-line mileage of 82.386 kilometres (51.192 mi), it is the second-longest single-line subway line in China, after Line 6 in Chongqing, which is 85.6 km (53.2 mi) long. Guanglan Road is an interchange station between Line 2 and Line 21 of the Shanghai Metro. The station is located along Zuchongzhi Road and is located between the stations of Tangzhen and the Jinke Road on Line 2. The station is located east of the intersection between Zuchongzhi Road and Guanglan Road, and has four exits. The station was opened on 24 February 2010, after Line 2 was extended from Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park.

Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro is a north-south metro line in the city of Shanghai that opened on 23 January 2021. Line 18 is a north–south Shanghai Metro line running from South Changjiang Road station in the city's Baoshan District to Hangtou station in Pudong, with a length of 36.13 km (22.45 mi). The line was originally scheduled to open by the end of 2020. However, officials announced that only the initial segment of eight stations in Pudong started test runs in September 2020. The 14.5 km (9.0 mi) southern section opened for passenger operations on December 26, 2020. The remainder of the line was opened on 30 December 2021. The line is 36.5 km (22.7 mi) long with 26 stations. The line is one of Shanghai Metro's new batch of high capacity fully automated and driverless lines along with Lines 14 and 15. Line 22 of the Shanghai Metro, formerly named Chongming line is a rapid transit line on the Shanghai Metro that is part of the 2018–2023 Shanghai Metro plan. The Chongming line was previously treated as the last phase of Line 9, and was Line 19 until 2016, when it was renamed the Chongming line. It would then be renamed as Line 22 in September 2024.

Pudong Airport Terminal 1&2, formerly Pudong International Airport is a metro and maglev station located within Shanghai Pudong International Airport in Shanghai. It serves as both the eastern terminus of both the Shanghai maglev train, having opened to trial operations on 31 December 2002, and, since an eastern extension from Guanglan Road opened on 8 April 2010, the eastern terminus of Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro. Although the metro and maglev stations are in the same property, they have distinct fare-paid zones, as their fare systems are separate.

Line 22 is a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will be located in south-west Shanghai near Dachang in Baoshan District and Nanxiang North railway station in Jiading District. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016. By 2017, the initial proposal was approved and awaiting further planning.

Line 20 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will run in an east–west direction in northern Shanghai, connecting Shanghai West railway station in Jiading District to Gongqing Forest Park in Yangpu District, with a possible future extension to Zhouhai Road in northern Pudong. It will be about 20 km (12 mi) long with 10 stations. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016.

Line 24 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016. It will run in a north–south direction through Pudong and connect the Huangpu River bank in Yangpu District with the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. It will form a ring around the Middle Ring Road together with Line 20 and Line 22.

Line 23 is an under construction Shanghai Metro line that would run from Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Xuhui District to Minhang Development Zone in Minhang District. Its It is planned to be 29 kilometres (18 mi) in length, and is planned to have 22 stations. The line was announced by the Shanghai municipal government in 2016. It will adopt unmanned driving (GoA4).

Line 19 is an under construction subway line on the Shanghai Metro. Its termini are planned to be Baoshan Railway Station and Hongjian Road. It is planned to be 46.2 km (28.7 mi) in length, with 34 stations. The line hopes to ease car congestion along Pudong South Road, as well as reduce crowding on the southern part of line 8, and the northern sections of lines 1 and 3.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jinqiu Road station</span> Metro station in Shanghai, China

Jinqiu Road is a metro station on the Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at the intersection of Qilianshan Road and Jinqiu Road in Putuo District, Shanghai, the station was scheduled to open with the rest of Line 15 by the end of 2020. However, the station eventually opened on 23 January 2021 following a one-month postponement. It is located in between Gucun Park station to the north and Fengxiang Road station to the south.

Line 26 is a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016.

Line 32 of the Shenzhen Metro is a line under construction, which will run entirely in Dapeng New District from Xichong at the terminus of Line 8 to Kuichong East for approximately 9.5 kilometers. Construction began on 8 May 2024.
