The Coastal corridor is a high-speed rail corridor running along the eastern coast of China, stretching from Dalian in the north to Fangchenggang in the south and passing through the cities of Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Dongying, Weifang, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Yancheng, Nantong, Shanghai, Ningbo. Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Zhanjiang. [1] The Weifang–Qingdao stretch splits into two, one directly connecting Weifang to Qingdao, the other connecting Weifang to Qingdao through Yantai. As apart of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network, announced in 2016, this corridor is an extension of the Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger railway from "Four Vertical and Four Horizontal" network. [2] The line will comprise a mixture of high-speed railway lines, upgraded conventional rail lines and intercity railways.

The Shijiazhuang–Jinan passenger railway, abbreviated Shiji passenger railway is a high-speed railway operated by China Railway High-speed, running between Shijiazhuang and Jinan, the provincial capitals of Hebei and Shandong, respectively. The line will additionally pass through and serve cities of Hengshui, Cangzhou and Dezhou. Traditionally, passengers travelling east from Shijiazhuang towards Shandong would need to detour towards Beijing or Tianjin. Its completion allowed trains to run directly between Shijiazhuang and Jinan at 250 km/h (160 mph), shortening travel times between the two cities from the previous 4 hours to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Nanning–Pingxiang high-speed railway is a high-speed railway between Nanning and Pingxiang in Guangxi, China. Rather than being a central government initiative, this project is largely being coordinated at a regional level, in Guangxi.
The Fuzhou–Xiamen railway or Fuxia railway is a dual-track, electrified, higher-speed rail line in eastern China. The line is named after its two terminal cities Fuzhou and Xiamen, both coastal cities in Fujian. The line has a total length of 274.9 kilometres (170.8 mi) and forms part of China's Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway. Construction began in 2005, and the line entered into operation on April 26, 2010.
Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong railway, abbreviated as Husutong railway is a higher-speed railway in China's Yangtze River Delta area, connecting Shanghai, the region's main city located south of the Yangtze, with Nantong in Jiangsu province, north of the river.
Ganzhou–Shenzhen high-speed railway, or Ganzhou–Shenzhen section of Beijing–Hong Kong corridor, is a high-speed railway from Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta through northeast Guangdong province to Ganzhou in Jiangxi province. It will form part of Beijing–Hong Kong corridor. The railway opened on 10 December 2021.
Changsha–Kunming high-speed railway is a China Railway High-speed line connecting Changsha and Kunming, respectively the provincial capitals of Hunan and Yunnan. It is the western end of a larger rail project, the Shanghai–Kunming high-speed railway, which is one of the Ministry of Railways's strategic four east–west high-speed railways, and an integral part of the long-term railway network plan.
The Hohhot–Nanning corridor is a proposed high-speed railway in China running from Hohhot in Inner Mongolia to Nanning in Guangxi. It will pass through the cities of Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Xiangyang, Changde, Yiyang, Shaoyang, Yongzhou and Guilin. Introduced in 2016, the corridor is one of the sixteen railway lines proposed under China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network.
The Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway is a high-speed rail line under construction in China. The Chinese name of the railway line, Huyurong, is a combination of the abbreviations for Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu. It will run in an east-west direction largely parallel to the Yangtze River, connecting the cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhan, Chongqing and Chengdu.
The Beijing–Kunming corridor is a high-speed rail corridor running from Beijing to Kunming in Yunnan Province. The main route passes from Beijing through Xiong'an, Xinzhou, Taiyuan, Xi'an and Chengdu before reaching Kunming. Apart from the main route, a branch line runs from Beijing to Taiyuan through Zhangjiakou and Datong, and a spur line from Chongqing connects to Kunming.
The Suifenhe–Manzhouli corridor is a high-speed rail corridor located in the northeast of China running from Suifenhe in Heilongjiang to Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia. Announced as part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network, the passage passes through Harbin and Qiqihar.
The Beijing–Hong Kong (Taipei) corridor is a proposed high-speed railway corridor in Greater China. It will run in a north–south direction from Beijing to Hong Kong, with a branch leading from Hefei to end at Taipei across the Taiwan Strait. It will connect the cities of Beijing, Xiong'an, Fuyang, Hefei, Jiujiang, Nanchang, Ganzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong on the main line, as well as Fuzhou and Taipei, Taiwan on the branch line.
Yinchuan–Xi'an high-speed railway, is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line in Northwest China between Yinchuan and Xi'an. The line is the first railway to connect Qingyang to the Chinese railway network, and also the first railway to connect Ningxia and Yinchuan to the high-speed railway network.
Tianjin–Weifang–Yantai high-speed railway is a high-speed railway in China. The railway is designed to reach a maximum speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). The Weifang–Yantai section of the railway opened on 21 October 2024, while the Tianjin–Weifang section is expected to open in 2027.

Guangzhou–Shanwei high-speed railway is a high-speed railway line in Guangdong Province, China. Its design speed is 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). The railway would shorten the journey time between Guangzhou and Shanwei to one hour by avoiding Shenzhen.
The Huanggang–Huangmei high-speed railway is a high-speed railway line in Hubei, China. It is part of the Beijing–Hong Kong (Taipei) corridor and have a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph).
The Huangtai–Jinan East link line is a railway line in Jinan, Shandong, China. It is 10.5 km in length.
