The 15th Asian Film Awards was held on October 8, 2021, in Busan at Haeundae. Like 2020 edition it was staged with the 26th Busan International Film Festival in hybrid format that combines online and face-to-face participation. [1] The award show was hosted by actress Kim Gyu-ri and broadcaster Lee Seung-guk. [2]

In 15th edition of Asian Film Awards, 36 films from 8 Asian regions competed for 16 awards. [3] Director Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Wife of a Spy (2020) won the best picture award [4] at the ceremony streamed live on YouTube and Naver. [5]

Jang Yoon-ju is a South Korean model, television personality, singer-songwriter and actress. Yoon-ju began modeling in 1997 when she was 17 years old, and became one of the most successful Korean fashion models, with a career spanning almost two decades. She also hosts Korea's Next Top Model, and won Best Radio DJ at the 2013 KBS Entertainment Awards for KBS Cool FM's Rooftop Radio. Voice of Silence is a 2020 South Korean indie crime drama film written and directed by Hong Eui-jeong, from her screenplay which was selected as one of the top 12 projects at Venice Biennale College-Cinema 2016/2017 in 2016. It stars Yoo Ah-in and Yoo Jae-myung. The first feature directorial debut of Hong Eui-jeong, the film was premiered in South Korea on October 15, 2020. The film received almost universal critical acclaim, particularly for its dark comedy, social subtext, and performances. It won Cheval Noir Award for Best Film at the 2021 Fantasia International Film Festival and Best Film at the 2021 Busan Film Critics Awards.

The Book of Fish is a 2021 South Korean black-and-white historical drama film directed by Lee Joon-ik. The film starring Sol Kyung-gu and Byun Yo-han, is about an exiled Joseon era scholar and a fisherman and their exchange of knowledge in writing a book. The film was theatrically released on March 31, 2021, by Megabox.

Hong Eui-jeong is a South Korean film director, screenwriter and producer. She has won the Blue Dragon Film Awards for Best New Director, Best New Director at the Asian Film Awards, Buil Film Awards and Korean Association of Film Critics Awards, and Best Director at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her feature directorial debut in indie crime drama film Voice of Silence (2020).

Three Sisters is a 2020 South Korean drama film, written and directed by Lee Seung-won. Starring Moon So-ri, Kim Sun-young and Jang Yoon-ju, the film revolves three sisters who seem to live an ordinary life but lives in their own different ways, but memories shook everything. It had its premiere at 25th Busan International Film Festival in October, 2020 and was released theatrically on January 27, 2021 in South Korea. The film has won 12 awards at different award ceremonies.

The 32nd Buil Film Awards ceremony is hosted by the Busan-based daily newspaper Busan Ilbo. It was held on October 5, 2023, at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan. In the 32nd edition, awards were presented in 16 categories for 222 Korean films that were released from August 11, 2022, to August 10, 2023. Film awards ceremony was preceded by walking the red carpet for the first time this year and Esom is the solo host of the award show.

Filmmaker R&K is a film production company based in Seoul, South Korea. Established in 2005, by Kang Hye-jung and Ryoo Seung-wan. Its notable works mostly directed by Ryoo Seung-wan such as Veteran (2015), The Battleship Island (2017), Escape from Mogadishu (2021) and Smugglers (2023).
