2008 Monmouthshire County Council election

2008 Elections to Monmouthshire County Council were held on 1 May 2008. The whole council was up for election and the Conservative Party held overall control of the council. The election was preceded by the 2004 elections and followed by the 2012 elections.

Monmouth Town Council is the town council of the traditional county town of Monmouth, south-east Wales. The Council comprises 19 members, who are elected every five years. The Mayor is the titular head of the council. The council has its offices in the Shire Hall, a Grade I listed building owned by Monmouthshire County Council.

The Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner is the police and crime commissioner, an elected official tasked with setting out the way crime is tackled by Devon and Cornwall Police in the English counties of Devon and Cornwall.
