Newport City Council is the governing body for Newport, one of the principal areas of Wales. It consists of 51 councillors, who represent the city's 20 wards.
The English Democrats are a right-wing to far-right, English nationalist political party active in England. Being a minor party, it currently has no elected representatives at any level of UK government.
Laura Anne Jones is a Conservative politician who has been the Member of the Senedd (MS) for the South Wales East electoral region since July 2020, having previously held the same seat as an Assembly Member (AM) in the National Assembly for Wales between 2003 and 2007. Jones also served as a county councillor for the Wyesham ward in Monmouthshire County Council from 2017 to 2022.
Ynys Môn is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It is one of five 'protected constituencies' within the UK, with boundaries defined by the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 2020 to be fixed to those of Isle of Anglesey County Council.
Monmouth was a county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The seat was created for the 1918 general election. From 2005 until 2024 the Member of Parliament (MP) was David Davies of the Conservative Party.
Rutland County Council is the local authority for the unitary authority of Rutland in England. Between 1 April 1974 and 1 April 1997 Rutland was a non-metropolitan district in Leicestershire.
Hertfordshire County Council in England is elected every four years. Since the last boundary changes took effect in 2017 there have been 78 electoral divisions electing one councillor each.
Essex County Council in England is elected every four years. Since the last boundary changes in 2005, 75 councillors are elected from 70 wards.

Elections to Hertfordshire County Council are held in the fourth year of the cycle when there are no district council elections.
Monmouth Town Council is the town council of the traditional county town of Monmouth, south-east Wales. The Council comprises 19 members, who are elected every five years. The Mayor is the titular head of the council. The council has its offices in the Shire Hall, a Grade I listed building owned by Monmouthshire County Council.
The Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner is the police and crime commissioner, an elected official tasked with setting out the way crime is tackled by Devon and Cornwall Police in the English counties of Devon and Cornwall. The post was created in November 2012, following an election held on 15 November 2012, and replaced the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority. The current incumbent is Alison Hernandez, who represents the Conservative Party.
Gwent County Council was the upper-tier local authority that governed the county of Gwent in South Wales from its creation in 1974 to its abolition in 1996. For most of its existence, the county council was based in Cwmbran.
The 2021 Suffolk County Council election took place on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 local elections in the United Kingdom. All 75 councillors were elected from 63 electoral divisions, which return either one or two county councillors each, by first-past-the-post voting, for a four-year term of office.
Elections to Hampshire County Council took on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. All 78 seats were up for election, with each ward returning either one or two councillors by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. This took place at the same time as the elections for the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner and district councils.
The 2021 Norfolk County Council election took place alongside the other 2021 local elections. 83 of the 84 seats to Norfolk County Council were elected. One seat, Sewell in Norwich, had its election delayed to June 17 after Eve Collishaw, the Conservative candidate, died during the election campaign
The 2022 Welsh local elections took place on 5 May 2022 to elect members of all twenty-two local authorities in Wales. They were held alongside other local elections in the United Kingdom. The previous elections were held in 2017.
