The 2015 season was Hammarby Fotboll's 100th in existence, and their 46th season in Allsvenskan. It was Hammarby's first season in Allsvenskan after spending 5 seasons in the Superettan. They competed in Allsvenskan and the Svenska Cupen during the season. Nanne Bergstrand returned to the team as his second season being manager. Gameplay for Hammarby in Svenska Cupen began on February 21, 2015, and ended on March 15, 2015. [1] Gameplay for Hammarby in Allsvenskan began on April 4, 2015, and ended on October 31, 2015.

The 2015 Allsvenskan season, was the 91st edition of top tier Allsvenskan [[Association football|football competition since its founding in 1924 under the authority of the Swedish Football Association in Sweden; the 2015 Swedish football season. 16 teams contested the league; 14 returning from the 2014 season and two that were promoted from Superettan. The 2015 fixtures were released on 21 January 2015. The season started on 4 April 2015, when BK Häcken visited newly promoted Hammarby IF at Tele2 Arena and ended on 31 October 2015.
The 2015 season was AIK's 124th in existence, their 87th season in Allsvenskan, and their 10th consecutive season in the league. The team competed in Allsvenskan, UEFA Europa League, and Svenska Cupen.
The 2016 season was Hammarby Fotboll's 101st in existence, their 47th season in Allsvenskan and their 2nd consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen during the year. League play started in early April and lasted until early November. Nanne Bergstrand made his third season as manager.

Malmö FF were the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season, and they defended the championship in the 30th and final round on 4 December 2021 and secured their 22nd Swedish championship title by playing a scoreless tie at home against Halmstads BK, resulting in Malmö FF winning the title on better goal difference than the runner-up (AIK). This was the first time the title was defended since 2017, and the third consecutive defense of the title that went to Malmö FF, having also defended the title in 2014.

The 2023 Allsvenskan was the 99th season of Sweden's top-level football league, Allsvenskan. A total of 16 teams participated. BK Häcken were the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season. IF Brommapojkarna and Halmstads BK were promoted after finishing first and second in the 2022 Superettan, while Varbergs BoIS staved off relegation by defeating third placed Östers IF.
