The men's shot put event at the 2016 African Championships in Athletics was held on 22 June in Kings Park Stadium. [1]
The shot put is a track and field event involving "putting" a heavy spherical object—the shot—as far as possible. The shot put competition for men has been a part of the modern Olympics since their revival in 1896, and women's competition began in 1948.
The 20th African Championships in Athletics was held in Durban, South Africa from 22 to 26 June 2016. It was the second time that Durban and South Africa hosted this competition.
The Kings Park Stadium, is a stadium located in the Kings Park Sporting Precinct in Durban, South Africa.
