The 2019 Japanese Super Formula Championship was the forty-seventh season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the seventh under the moniker of Super Formula. The season began on 21 April at Suzuka Circuit and ended on 27 October at the same location. [1]
2019 marked the first season of the Dallara SF19 chassis package, while continuing the engine configuration of the preceding chassis. [2]
Nick Cassidy clinched his first Driver's Championship title, after finishing ahead of reigning champion Naoki Yamamoto at the season finale at Suzuka. [3] Docomo Team Dandelion Racing won their first Teams' Championship title since 2012, with Naoki Yamamoto and Nirei Fukuzumi driving for them. [4]
Every Honda-powered car used a Honda HR-414E engine and every Toyota-powered car used a Toyota RI4A engine.

Japanese Formula 3 Championship was a national motor racing championship that takes place in Japan. It is a junior-level feeder formula that uses small single seater Formula Three chassis.
Motopark Academy is an auto racing team based in Oschersleben, Germany, next to the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben race track. In 2013, the team competed in the GP2 Series under the name Russian Time and have operated a satellite team called CryptoTower Racing.
Naoki Yamamoto is a Japanese racing driver for Honda Racing Corporation, currently driving in the Autobacs Super GT Series with Team Kunimitsu, and the Japanese Super Formula Championship with Nakajima Racing. He is a three-time champion in Super Formula, and a two-time champion in the GT500 class of Super GT. Yamamoto is also the only driver to have won both the Super Formula and GT500 championships in the same season multiple times, a feat which he accomplished in 2018 and 2020.

Tomoki Nojiri is a Japanese racing driver and factory driver for the Honda Motor Company who currently competes in Super GT for ARTA and in Super Formula for Team Mugen, where he won the championship title in 2021 and 2022.
Maximilian Günther is a German-Austrian racing driver currently competing in Formula E for Maserati MSG Racing. Günther has previously driven in Formula 2 with BWT Arden and for Dragon Racing, BMW i Andretti and Nissan e.dams in Formula E. He achieved his first win in Formula E at the 2020 Santiago ePrix.

It was the thirty-seventh overall season of a national JAF sportscar championship dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. The season began on April 14 and ended on November 24, after 8 championship races & 2 non-championship races.
The Dallara SF19 is an open-wheel single-seater chassis produced by Dallara for use in the Japanese Super Formula championship. It debuted in 2019, replacing the Dallara SF14 chassis. Throughout its production, it was the sole chassis used in Super Formula, however an engine development war between Honda and Toyota can lead to significant performance differences between the Honda and Toyota powered models.

The 2021 Japanese Super Formula Championship was the forty-ninth season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the ninth under the moniker of Super Formula. Naoki Yamamoto entered the 2021 season as the defending drivers' champion.
Toshiki Oyu is a Japanese racing driver for Toyota Gazoo Racing who currently competes in Super GT for Team Cerumo and in Super Formula for INGING. He was previously a factory driver for Honda until 2023.
Hiroki Otsu is a Japanese racing driver who is currently competing in Super GT with ARTA, and in Super Formula for TCS Nakajima Racing as a substitute driver for Naoki Yamamoto.
The 2024 Japanese Super Formula Championship will be the fifty-second season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the twelfth under the moniker of Super Formula. It will start on 8–10 March at Suzuka Circuit and is due to be contested over seven race weekends.
