Note. ITTF Africa Cup is different
The African Table tennis Championships is a tournament organized by the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) to crown the best table tennis players in Africa. For the Team event there is the African Table tennis Team Championships. This is not to be confused with the African Games, the multi sports event, held every four years where table tennis is included since 1973.
Note. ITTF Africa Cup is different
The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is the governing body for all national table tennis associations that use ITTF-approved sponge table tennis rackets. The role of the ITTF includes overseeing rules and regulations and seeking technological improvement for the sport of table tennis. The ITTF is responsible for the organization of numerous international competitions, including the World Table Tennis Championships that has continued since 1926.
Karl Peter Karlsson is a table tennis player and coach. He was 1991 World Champion in men's doubles, and 2000 European Champion in men's singles. He is married to Åsa Karlsson.
Mouma Das is an Indian table tennis player. Born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, she has represented India in international events since the early 2000s. Das has won multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games including a gold in the Women's Team Competition in 2018. She was awarded the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting honour in 2013 for her contributions to the sport.
The World Table Tennis Championships are table tennis competitions sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). The World Championships have been held since 1926, biennially since 1957. Five individual events, which include men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's double and mixed doubles, are currently held in odd numbered years. The World Team Table Tennis Championships, which include men's team and women's team events, were first their own competition in 2000. The Team Championships are held in even numbered years.
Oh Sang-eun is a South Korean table tennis player. His world ranking had been in the top 10 since the 2005 World Championships in Shanghai until April 2008. His highest ranking was number 5 in May 2007.
Natalia Dorota Partyka is a Polish para table tennis player. Born without a right hand and forearm, she participates in competitions for able-bodied athletes as well as in competitions for athletes with disabilities. Partyka reached the last 32 of the London 2012 Olympic women's table tennis.
Wu Jiaduo is a Chinese-born German table tennis player.
The European Table Tennis Championships is an international table tennis competition for the national teams of the member associations of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU). First held in 1958, the ETTU organised the European Championships every two years in even-numbered years until 2002, when they changed to odd-numbered years. Since 2007, the competition has been contested annually.
Tang Peng is mainland Chinese-born table tennis player who now represents Hong Kong. He recently married Tie Yana, another Chinese-born table tennis player representing Hong Kong. As of December 2016, he is ranked the number nineteenth player in the world.
Table tennis at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London took place from Saturday 28 July to Wednesday 8 August 2012 at ExCeL London. 174 athletes, 86 men and 88 women, competed in four events. Table tennis has appeared at the Summer Olympics on six previous occasions beginning with the 1988 Games in Seoul. In addition to men's and women's singles, the team events were staged for the second time since replacing doubles events at the 2008 Beijing Games. China was the defending champion in each of the Olympic events having won all 4 gold medals in 2008.
Ella Zeller is a retired Romanian table tennis player, coach and administrator. Between 1952 and 1964, she won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events in the Table Tennis European Championships and in the World Table Tennis Championships. In 1995, she was inducted to the ITTF Hall of Fame.
Quadri Akinade Aruna is a professional Nigerian table tennis player. He competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2020 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in 2016. He is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10 in the world.
Tan Ruiwu is a Croatian table tennis player of Chinese origin. As of December 2012, he is ranked no. 48 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). He is also left-handed, and uses the shakehand grip.

The South African Table Tennis Board (SATTB) is the national governing body responsible for table tennis in South Africa. The organisation has been affiliated to both the ITTF since 1950, and the African Table Tennis Federation. SATTB is based in Pretoria.

The 2024 World Team Table Tennis Championships were held in Busan, South Korea from 16 to 25 February 2024. Quarterfinalists of the event qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The ITTF AFRICA Cup is an annual table tennis competition held by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the African Table Tennis Federation. The competition features men's and women's singles events, with 16 players qualifying to take part in each event, subject to a maximum of two players per association.
