The African Weightlifting Championships is an event organised by Weightlifting Federation of Africa (WFA). [1]

Weightlifting at the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea was held on July 5–8, 2015.
Weightlifting at the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville was held between September 7–9, 2015 while Powerlifting was held on September 11 and 12, 2015.
The 2017 Oceania Weightlifting Championships were held in Gold Coast, Australia between 4 and 9 September 2017. The competition was part of the Commonwealth Championships – the test event for the 2018 Commonwealth Games weightlifting competition.
