Amy is an original motion picture soundtrack to the 2015 film of the same name. It was released by Island Records on 30 October 2015. It is the second posthumous compilation album by English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse (the subject of the film). It features original tracks, covers, previously unreleased versions and demos that were included in the documentary and also features music by Brazilian composer Antônio Pinto. The Name of the Wave by British musician and producer William Orbit also makes an appearance on the soundtrack. The soundtrack peaked at number 19 on the UK Albums Chart.

On 8 October 2015, it was announced by Island Records that the original soundtrack for Amy would be released on 30 October 2015. [6] On 26 October 2015, a two-minute sampler of the soundtrack was released on Facebook and Twitter. The soundtrack was later released for the second time on vinyl in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 1 April 2016.[ citation needed ]
The album includes well-known tracks by Winehouse, such as "Stronger Than Me", "Tears Dry on Their Own" and "Back to Black", live sessions of "What Is It About Men", "Rehab", "We're Still Friends" and "Love Is a Losing Game", a downtempo version of "Some Unholy War", a demo version of "Like Smoke", a cover of The Zutons' "Valerie" performed by Winehouse and Mark Ronson, and a 2011 version of "Body and Soul" performed by Winehouse and Tony Bennett. The soundtrack is the second posthumous compilation album by Winehouse. The album also features original compositions that were included on the documentary by Antônio Pinto. [6]
In late October 2015, director Asif Kapadia won an award for Best Soundtrack for the original motion picture album for Amy at the Film Club's The Lost Weekend Awards.[ citation needed ] As of June 2016, the soundtrack itself has been nominated for a total of four awards; including Best Soundtrack at the St. Louis Film Critics Association and the music behind the film has led Winehouse a posthumous nomination at the 2016 BRIT Awards for British Female Solo Artist [7] and Winehouse posthumously won a Grammy Award for Best Music Film at the 2016 Grammy Awards. This was the ninth nomination of Winehouse's career for this award and the third posthumous. In December 2016, the nominations for the 2017 Grammy Awards were announced, and Amy was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Unplugged is a 1992 live album by Eric Clapton, recorded at Bray Studios, England in front of an audience for the MTV Unplugged television series. It includes a version of the successful 1992 single "Tears in Heaven" and an acoustic version of "Layla". The album itself won three Grammy awards at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards in 1993 and became the bestselling live album of all time, and Clapton's bestselling album, selling 26 million copies worldwide.
8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture is the official soundtrack album to the 2002 film of the same name. The album, performed by various artists, was released by Universal Pictures' then subsidiary Universal Music, through Interscope and Shady Records. The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album is a soundtrack album from the film of the same name, released on November 17, 1992, by Arista Records. The album's first side features songs recorded by American singer Whitney Houston, who starred in the film, while side two features the work of various artists. Houston and Clive Davis were co-executive producers of the record.
Frank is the debut studio album by English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse. It was released on 20 October 2003 by Island Records. Production for the album took place during 2002 to 2003 and was handled by Winehouse, Salaam Remi, Commissioner Gordon, Jimmy Hogarth and Matt Rowe. Mamma Mia! The Movie Soundtrack is the soundtrack album for the 2008 jukebox musical film Mamma Mia!, based on the 1999 stage musical of the same name. Michael Jackson's This Is It is a posthumous two-disc soundtrack album by American singer Michael Jackson. Released by MJJ Music on October 26, 2009, This Is It features previously released music, as well as six previously unreleased recordings by Jackson. This Is It was released to coincide with the theatrical release of Michael Jackson's This Is It, a concert film documenting Jackson's rehearsals for the This Is It concert series at the O2 Arena in London. This Is It is the sixth album to be released by Sony and Motown/Universal since Jackson's death on June 25, 2009.
Lioness: Hidden Treasures is a posthumous compilation album by English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse. It was released on 2 December 2011 by Island Records. It features unreleased songs, covers and demos selected by Mark Ronson, Salaam Remi and Winehouse's family, including the first single, "Body and Soul", with Tony Bennett. The album was released in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation. "Our Day Will Come" was released as the album's second and final single on 4 December, and was Winehouse's first solo single to be released since 2007.
Amy Winehouse at the BBC is a posthumous live album by English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse. It was released on 12 November 2012 by Universal Music Group. The album, along with Winehouse's previous record Lioness: Hidden Treasures, was released in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation. It features live songs performed by Winehouse at BBC specials during 2004 to 2009.

Amy is a 2015 British documentary film directed by Asif Kapadia and produced by James Gay-Rees. The film covers British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse's life and her struggle with substance abuse, both before and after her career blossomed, and which eventually caused her death. In February 2015, a teaser trailer based on the life of Winehouse debuted at a pre-Grammys event. David Joseph, CEO of Universal Music UK, announced that the documentary titled Amy would be released later that year. He further stated: "About two years ago we decided to make a movie about her—her career and her life. It's a very complicated and tender movie. It tackles lots of things about family and media, fame, addiction, but most importantly, it captures the very heart of what she was about, which is an amazing person and a true musical genius."
Cinema is the fifteenth studio album by Italian classical tenor recording artist Andrea Bocelli. The album, featuring renditions of classic film soundtracks and scores, was released on 23 October 2015 through Sugar Music and Universal Music Group. A Spanish-language version of the album was also released and has been nominated Album of the Year at the 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Cinema received a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards held in February 2017.
Suicide Squad: The Album is the soundtrack album to the film of the same name. It was released on August 5, 2016, by Atlantic Records and WaterTower Music. A separate film score album, titled Suicide Squad: Original Motion Picture Score and composed by Steven Price, was released on August 8, by WaterTower Music. The digital edition of the film score album contains eight bonus tracks. At the 89th Academy Awards, the film won the Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for "City of Stars".
Bridget Jones's Diary: Music from the Motion Picture is the soundtrack album to the 2001 film Bridget Jones's Diary, directed by Sharon Maguire. It was released on 16 April 2001 by Mercury Records. The album features two hit songs that were released as singles, "Out of Reach" by Gabrielle and "It's Raining Men" by Geri Halliwell. Bridget Jones's Diary was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Stranger Things: Music from the Netflix Original Series is the non-original composition soundtrack companion to the second season of the Netflix series Stranger Things. The album, which intersperses popular '80s songs with clips from the first and second seasons, was released on October 27, 2017, by Legacy Recordings to coincide with the release of the second season. The album was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, but lost to the soundtrack album for the film The Greatest Showman.
