The Anglican Diocese of Nike [1] is one of the 12 Anglican dioceses within the Anglican Province of Enugu, which is itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. [2]
The diocese was inaugurated on 18 April 2007 as the 116th diocese in the Church of Nigeria. [3] The inaugural bishop was Evans Jonathan Ibeagha and the current incumbent is Christian Onyia. [4]

Adeniyi was the pioneer Bishop of Egba Diocese when it was created in 1976. On his retirement aged 70 in 1979, he was succeeded by Titus Ilori Akintayo, who served from 1980 until 1994. On his retirement, he was in turn succeeded by Matthew Oluremi Owadayo. Adekunle has been the Bishop since 2009.
