Anglican Diocese of Lokoja

The Anglican Diocese of Lokoja [1] is one of eleven within the Anglican Province of Lokoja, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. [2] The current bishop is Emmanuel Egbunu, the Archbishop Emeritus of Lokoja. [3]

The diocese was inaugurated on 18 October 1994, with George Bako as the pioneer Bishop. [4]

The Church of Nigeria is the Anglican church in Nigeria. It is the second-largest province in the Anglican Communion, as measured by baptised membership, after the Church of England.
