The Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) is an electric utility in the Northwest Territories of Canada. NTPC was formed in 1988 to acquire and operate the former assets of the Northern Canada Power Commission in the Northwest Territories, including what is now Nunavut. Since 2007, NTPC is organised as a subsidiary of the Northwest Territories Hydro Corporation.
National Capital Power Station (NCPS) or NTPC Dadri, is the power project to meet the power demand of National Capital Region (India). It has a huge coal-fired thermal power plant and a gas-fired plant and has a small township located in Uttar Pradesh, India for its employees. It is located in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh about 25 km from Ghaziabad and about 9 km from Dadri. It is nearly 48 km from New Delhi towards Hapur. The township has an area of about 500 acres over all. NTPC Dadri is a branch of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Shaktinagar in Sonebhadra district in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is the first power plant of NTPC. It sources coal from Jayant and Bina mines and water from Rihand Reservoir. The states benefitting from this power plant are Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territories of Delhi, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir. An investment worth ₹11,907 million (US$150 million) has already been cleared. It even gets international assistance from IDA.
Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Plant is located at Unchahar in Raebareli district in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC Limited. In the year 1992, Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board (U.P.S.E.B.) transferred Unchahar Thermal Power Station to NTPC Limited against payment overdue and later on renamed it to Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Plant by NTPC Limited.

The headquarters of the PSU are situated at New Delhi. NTPC's core function is the generation and distribution of electricity to State Electricity Boards in India. The body also undertakes consultancy and turnkey project contracts that involve engineering, project management, construction management, and operation and management of power plants.

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station or NTPC Talcher Kaniha located in Angul district of the Indian state of Odisha is the first mega power plant of India to have an installed generation capacity of 3000MW. The power plant is one of the coal-based power plants of NTPC. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Lingraj Block & Kaniha coal block of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. Source of water for the power plant is from Samal Barrage Reservoir on Brahmani River.
Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant located in the outskirts of Visakhapatnam city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The power plant is one of the coal fired power plants of NTPC, a Government of India enterprise. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Kalinga Block of Talcher Coal fields in Odisha. The plant is a national asset, and power generated is shared between multiple states, as the operator is national. Power generated by units 1 and 2, making up for 1,000 MW, is dedicated to power distribution companies owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The remaining 1,000 MW, generated by units 3 and 4, is allocated to the states of Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry as per their shares as decided in PPA.
Tanda Thermal Power Station is located in Ambedkar Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC. The coal for the power plant is sourced from North Karnpura Coal Fields. Source of water for the power plant is from Tanda Pump Canal on Saryu River.

The gas for the power plant is sourced from GAIL HBJ Pipeline – South Basin Gas field. Source of water for the power plant is Hazira Branch Canal Singanpur Weir.
NTPC Jhanor-Gandhar is a gas-based power plant run by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), located at Urja Nagar, in Bharuch district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The power plant its gas from the Gandhar Gas field, and water from the Narmada river. The site is about 18 km north-east of Bharuch City. This is a base load, combined cycle power plant. The waste heat from the outlet gases of gas turbine is used to heat water in a waste heat recovery boiler (WHRB) of Kawasaki make and subsequently run the steam turbine. The gas turbine capacity is increased to 144.3 MW by injecting de-mineralised water into the combustion chamber. The plant capacity is 657.39 MW (144.3*3+224.49) MW. The plant receives natural gas from Gujarat State Petronet Corporation Ltd (GSPC) and Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL). The power transmission is at 220 kV and 400 kV.
The Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Plant (also known as Rajiv Gandhi CCPP is a combined cycle power plant located at Choolatheruvu,Haripad in Alappuzha district, Kerala, India. The power plant is owned by NTPC Limited. The power plant is fueled by imported and indigenous naphtha. Source of the cooling water is Achankovil river at Nalukettumkavala in Pallipad.

Source of water for the power plant is Rampur distributories of Gurgaon canal.
North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) is a central public sector undertaking. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Power, Government of India. It was formed on 2 April 1976 to plan, investigate, design, construct, generate, operate and maintain power stations in the North Eastern Region of India. NEEPCO is conferred with the Schedule A- Miniratna Category-I CPSU status.
The Rampal Power Station is a 1320 megawatt coal-fired power station currently under construction at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District in Khulna, Bangladesh. The power plant is being constructed on an area of over 1834 acres of land, is situated 14 kilometres north of the world's largest mangrove forest Sundarbans which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will be the country's largest power plant.

Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power Station commonly abbreviated as RGTPP is a gas-based thermal power plant located at Ramgarh in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan. This power station is Rajasthan's(RAJSTHAN'S FIRST GAS THERMAL POWER PLANT IS ANTA BARA NTPC GAS POWER PLANT WHICH COMMISSION IN JANUARY 1989 FIRST UNIT WHILE RAMGARGH PLANT'S FIRST UNIT COMMISSION ON JAN 1996), first gas based power station. The power plant is operated by the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, a PSU company run by Govt. of Rajasthan. RGTPP is located 60 kilometres (37 mi) north-west from Jaisalmer district headquarters. Power station houses the GAIL terminal for the supply of gas fuel. ONGC, OIL and Focus Energy Ltd. are among the gas suppliers. It has a staff of more than 200 engineers and technical workers.
