The women's 400 metres event at the 1967 Summer Universiade was held at the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo on 1 September 1967. [1] [2] [3] It was the first time that this distance was contested by women at the Universiade.

Philippines at the Universiade Sporting event delegation

The Philippines has participated at the Universiade debuting at the 1967 Summer Universiade. From 1967 until 2007, athletes representing the country were sent by the University Athletic Association of the Philippines with sanction from Philippine Olympic Committee.
