Sree Maha Mariamman Devasthanam Temple is a Hindu temple in Bagan Luar, Penang, Malaysia. It is in fact the biggest and probably oldest Hindu temple in Butterworth. Maha Mariamman Devasthanam, a temple dedicated to the mother deity Amman, is the temple for the Hindu community that dwells along Jalan Jeti Lama. The area within the vicinity is a Hindu settlement called Kampung Benggali. Today, there is still a substantial Hindu population living in the area, and businesses such as the Sri Ananda Bharvan Banana Leaf Restaurant is a reflection of the Hindu presence. The Hindus are mostly associated with the Butterworth port. They either worked directly there, or provided supporting trades such as opening sundry shop and food outlets.

The place is named after Kampung Bagan Dalam which is a village situated within the core of the same area. Bagan Dalam means "inner jetty" in the Malay language. It is located near the Butterworth Wharves, also known as Dermaga Dalam in the Malay language. Bagan Dalam is connected to Perai, a major industrial area in the Seberang Perai region over the Perai River by the Prai River Bridge and the older Tunku Abdul Rahman Bridge.
Bagan Jermal is a residential neighbourhood within the city of Seberang Perai in the Malaysian state of Penang. It is located just north of Bagan Luar, south of Bagan Ajam and west of Jalan Raja Uda. The place is named after Kampung Bagan Jermal, a village which is located within the same area. The state seat of Bagan is located within the Parliament seat of Bagan. Other villages located nearby include Kampung Kubang Buaya, Kampung Paya, Kampung Gajah and Kampung Kastam. Notable buildings located here include the Butterworth Majistrate's Court and the Tenaga Nasional Quarters. The Butterworth–Seberang Jaya Toll Road, Federal Route 4 is a 5-km non-expressway-standard toll road in Penang, Malaysia. It connects Butterworth city centre to Seberang Jaya, a township at the eastern outskirt of Butterworth. This toll road is maintained by Lingkaran Butterworth (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. as a part of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road E17 project.
Song Ban Kheng Road or Jalan Song Ban Kheng is one of the main roads in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. It runs east–west to connect with Jalan Kebun Sireh in the west, and the Jalan Maju flyover in the east. It is the main road to reach Bukit Mertajam Town from the west. From the Exit 160 of the North–South Expressway, drivers can take Jalan Kebun Nenas followed by Jalan Chian Heng Kai to reach here.
Sungai Dua is a residential neighbourhood within the city of Seberang Perai in the Malaysian state of Penang. Not to be confuse for Sungai Dua on George Town, the Sungai Dua on Butterworth is located to the north of Perai River and to the east of the North-South Expressway. This area has experienced rapid housing development.
