Eleutherian College, founded as Eleutherian Institute in 1848, was a school founded by local anti-slavery Baptists at Lancaster in Jefferson County. The institute's name comes from the Greek word eleutheros, meaning "freedom and equality." The school admitted students without regard to ethnicity or gender, including freed and fugitive slaves. Its first classes began offering secondary school instruction on November 27, 1848. The school was renamed Eleutherian College in 1854, when it began offering college-level coursework. It closed in 1874 and its main building was used for a private normal school and then a public high school. It is now home to a non-profit group. The school was the second college in the United States west of the Allegheny Mountains and the first in Indiana to provide education to students of different colors. The restored three-story stone chapel and classroom building was constructed between 1853 and 1856 and presently serves as a local history museum. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1997,
Little Cedar Grove Baptist Church was organized in 1797 by some of the early Primitive Baptist settlers of Franklin County, Indiana. The historic church building, constructed in 1812, is the oldest church in the state of Indiana still standing on its original foundation.

Rd. 56S in Cass Township, Clay County, Indiana. It was built in 1869, and is a gable-front, vernacular frame building with Gothic Revival style design elements. It has a high pitched roof and triangular upper sashes. A vestibule and tower were added in 1893. The adjacent cemetery was founded in 1886, and includes nearly 400 headstones.

The church was built in 1858, and is a one-story, Greek Revival style frame building. It is sheathed in clapboard and has a gable roof. It features a projecting entrance tower added about 1900. The adjacent cemetery contains about 1,000 burials; the earliest marked burial was in 1823. Also on the property are the contributing shelter house and privy.

It was built in 1852–1853 by Albert Galentine on land owned by John Rarick, Sr., who deeded the land to the "Evangelical Lutheran Church" in 1855. Services at the church ended in 1894 after John Rarick, Jr., the congregation's largest financial supporter, moved to the Elkhart area.

It was built in 1831, and is a one-story, five-bay, Federal style brick building. It has a central cross gable at the vestibule topped by a bell tower and steeple added in 1910. Surrounding the church on three sides is a cemetery with gravestones dating to the 1830s and 1840s.

The meeting house was built in 1895, and is a one-story, brick building with a two-story Romanesque Revival style corner tower. A concrete block rear addition was built in 1955. It sits on a limestone foundation and has a steep gable roof. The adjacent cemetery was established in 1832 and remain an active burial ground with over 383 marked graves.

It served as a terminal for the interurban Union Traction Company until 1941, after which it housed a U.S. Post Office. It has been converted into a Mexican restaurant.
