Murray Bridge is a city in the Australian state of South Australia, located 78 kilometres (48 mi) east-southeast of the state's capital city, Adelaide, and 77 kilometres (48 mi) north of the town of Meningie. The city had an urban population of approximately 18,779 as at June 2018, making it the fifth most populous city in the state after Adelaide, Mount Gambier, Gawler and Whyalla.
Goolwa is a historic river port on the Murray River near the Murray Mouth in South Australia, and joined by a bridge to Hindmarsh Island. The name "Goolwa" means "elbow" in Ngarrindjeri, the local Aboriginal language, and the area was known as "The Elbow" to the early settlers.
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is a local government area of South Australia centred on the regional city of Murray Bridge and stretching south to Lake Alexandrina. It was formed in 1977 by amalgamation of the District Council of Mobilong and the Corporation of Murray Bridge.
Pinnaroo is a town in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia, near the border with Victoria, 243 km east of Adelaide. Pinnaroo is on the north side of the Mallee Highway, and on the railway line between Tailem Bend and Ouyen. The roadhouse on the highway at Pinnaroo is the first "food and leg-stretch" stop on the bus route from Adelaide to Sydney. At the 2016 census, the locality of Pinnaroo had a population of 712 of which 547 lived in and around its town centre.
Lameroo is a town in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia. It is on the Mallee Highway and Pinnaroo railway line about 40 km west of the Victorian border, or 210 km east of Adelaide. It is primarily a service town for the surrounding rural areas, growing grain and sheep. Lameroo now includes the former settlements of Kulkami, Mulpata, Wirha and Gurrai, which were on the Peebinga railway line, and Wilkawatt, which was between Parrakie and Lameroo on the Pinnaroo railway.
Mindarie is a small town in the Murray Mallee of South Australia between Karoonda and Loxton. The town was gazetted in 1912. The name Mindarie is believed to originate from the Dieri Aboriginal language, and possibly means "festival to invoke peace".
Wynarka is a very small town in South Australia 120 kilometres (75 mi) southeast of Adelaide on the Karoonda Highway (B55) and Loxton railway line in the Murray Mallee. Wynarka lies within the District Council of Karoonda East Murray.
Milang is a town and locality located in the Australian state of South Australia on the west coast of Lake Alexandrina about 71 kilometres (44 mi) south-east of the state capital of Adelaide and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north-east of the municipal seat of Goolwa.
Galga is a settlement in the northern Murray Mallee region of South Australia. The town of Galga was surveyed in 1915 after the Waikerie railway line from Karoonda to Waikerie was opened in 1914. The line was shortened to Galga in 1990, and closed completely in 1994. There is a small bulk grain silo at Galga, but it is no longer regularly used. Galga has an active Country Fire Service brigade with one fire truck.

Bowhill is a locality in South Australia. A settlement is located inside a bend on the left (eastern/southern) bank of the Murray River between Mannum and Swan Reach. It is predominantly shacks built facing the river bank. The settlement is in the Mid Murray Council area, but most of the locality is located away from the river and within in the District Council of Karoonda East Murray, including the Lowan Conservation Park.
Mantung is a town and a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located in the state's south-east about 140 kilometres (87 mi) east of the state capital of Adelaide, and about 58 kilometres (36 mi) north-east and about 48 kilometres (30 mi) south-west respectively of the municipal seats of Karoonda and Loxton.
Gifford Hill is a semi-rural locality approximately 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) south west of the centre of Murray Bridge by road. It is named for the geographical feature of the same name which is thought to be named for South Australian pioneer, John Gifford.
The Hundred of Mobilong is a cadastral unit of hundred on the west bank of the Murray River in South Australia and centred on Murray Bridge. One of the ten hundreds of the County of Sturt, it is bounded on the east entirely by the Murray River. It was created in 1860 by Governor Richard MacDonnell from a portion of the former Hundred of the Murray, which covered lands beside the Murray River for more than 300 kilometres (190 mi) of its course from mouth to Waikerie. It was named after an aboriginal name for the swamplands in the vicinity on the west bank of the Murray.
Goolwa North is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about 66 kilometres south of the state capital of Adelaide and 2.5 kilometres northeast of the centre of the municipal seat of Goolwa overlooking the following water bodies in the Murray River system - Currency Creek to the north and the channel known as Goolwa or the Lower Murray to the south-east.

The Hundred of Finniss is a cadastral unit of hundred in South Australia on the west bank of the lower Murray River. It is one of the ten hundreds of the County of Sturt. The main population centre in the hundred is the township of Mannum, a river port. Apart from Mannum and Port Mannum, other localities within the hundred are Punthari in the north, Frayville and Apamurra in the west, the riverside hamlets of Pellaring Flat and Zadows Landing in the east, and parts of Wall Flat, Milendella, Tepko, and Caloote.
