Carrozzeria Barbi is an Italian bus manufacturer, with headquarters in Mirandola, near Modena.
The company was founded in 1905 by Galileo Barbi as a small workshop for the production of horse-drawn carriages in the small village of Fossa. In 1910 it moved to Concordia sulla Secchia. [2]
In 1911 they won the International Exhibition in Paris in 1911 for the quality and comfort of the carriages produced. [3]
In 1927, with the advent of motorization, car production began. The main plant was opened in Mirandola where they realized vehicles bodies on chassis of Alfa Romeo, Ansaldo, Lancia, Fiat and Officine Meccaniche. In 1931 the production focused on the realization of bodies for commercial vehicles: vans, cabins for trucks, trucks and ambulances, occupying about 70 workers. Subsequently, the first buses were made, first with a wooden structure and then with tubular steel. [4]
During World War II, the production was temporarily converted for the wartime needs of the Ministry of the Navy, while in the post-war period the company participated in exhibitions and events industry bus (like the Golden Rose of San Remo), which allow to know the name in the Italian bus market.
In 1962 the founder died and the company passed to his son Sirner.
The 1970s were characterized by considerable investment. New models were made, innovative for their time, as the bus roof, the bus floor, the bus with seedlings structural inclined. They introduced innovations such as remote-controlled doors, acoustic and thermal insulation, air conditioning, reclining seats, heating, radio and television. The frames used were from DAF, Fiat, MAN, Mercedes and Renault.
In the 1980 Barbi started a collaboration with Volvo. Among the most important products of that decade is the Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed Italia 99. [5]
On the death of Sirner Barbi in 1994, the management passed to the brothers Alberto and Carlo Barbi and the factory was transferred in the industrial Mirandola, in San Giacomo Roncole. That decade saw the introduction of the Echo coach.
In the 2000 was designed the model Genesis, the evolution of which became the Galileo in 2008. In 2007 the group produced some prototypes of a van for the horse transport and cabins for lifts. From 2009 has been sold the new version of Genesis, powered by Iveco and Irisbus chassis. [6]
The company was liquidated in the year 2018 . [1] In October of the same year, a successor company is formed: Barbi Coach and Bus srl. They manufacture schoolbuses.

Gruppo Bertone, commonly known as Bertone, was an Italian automobile company which specialized in car styling, coachbuilding and manufacturing. Bertone styling was distinctive, with most cars having a strong "family resemblance" even if they were badged by different manufacturers. Bertone had styled cars for Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, BMW, Citroën, Ferrari, FIAT, Iso, Lancia, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, and Volvo, among others. In addition, the Bertone studio was responsible for two of the later designs of the Lambretta motorscooter. In the late 1980s, Bertone styled the K20 motorcycle helmet for Swiss bicycle and motorcycle helmet manufacturer Kiwi.

Magirus GmbH is a truck manufacturer based in Ulm, Germany, founded by Conrad Dietrich Magirus (1824–1895). It was formerly known as Klöckner Humboldt Deutz AG, maker of the Deutz engines, so the brand commonly used was Magirus Deutz, and for a short time Klöckner. The GAZelle is a series of light commercial vehicles: pickup trucks, vans and minibuses made by Russian car manufacturer GAZ. At the time of the dissolution of the Soviet Union and transition to a market economy, the Russian automobile industry had not produced a much-demanded LCV similar to the Ford Transit or VW T4 class. The GAZelle shares many parts with the company's passenger cars, in fact, models produced until 1998 had the same grille. Riga Autobus Factory, which formerly manufactured minibuses for the whole USSR, remained in Latvia, now required its vehicles be sold to the now-foreign Russian market for hard currency. Responding to this market opportunity, GAZ swiftly developed its own LCV called GAZelle, that taken together with its lighter version Sobol now account for the majority of the Russian van and light truck market and has strong positions in the markets of other CIS countries, ranking as GAZ's most popular and successful products.
Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is an Italian automobile coachbuilder. Originally established in Milan in 1925, Carrozzeria Touring became well known for both the beauty of its designs and patented superleggera construction methods. The business folded in 1966. In 2006 its brands and trademarks were purchased and a new firm established nearby to provide automotive design, engineering, coachbuilding, homologation services, non-automotive industrial design, and restoration of historic vehicles.
The Fiat Ducato is a light commercial vehicle jointly developed by Fiat Group and PSA Group, and mainly manufactured by Sevel, a joint venture between the two companies since 1981. SCAM produces special vehicles for markets where climatic conditions require the use of engines type Euro3. SCAM vehicles are primarily marketed to military, government, and municipal customers. In the year 2017 the company changed its name to SCV srl.
Jelcz M11 is a Polish step entrance city bus manufactured by Jelczańskie Zakłady Samochodowe in Jelcz-Laskowice near Oława. It was manufactured from 1985 until 1990. From constructional side it was a hybrid made from modified body chassis of Jelcz PR110 and frame and drivetrain of Ikarus 260. During its production there were no significant changes to the construction of the bus.
