Morelli was an Italian coachbuilder based in Ferrara. Founded by brothers Gino and Nino Morelli, the company was active in the 1950s and the 1960s, building primarily Aluminum bodies for OSCA. Of the 200 cars produced by OSCA, about 80 were MT4 models. Of the MT4 models, 40 Spiders were built by Morelli. All five OSCA FS 372 Spiders (an updated version of the MT4) were also bodied by Morelli. [3] [4]

Following the Maserati's brothers retirement, the company ceased its coachbuilding activity. It was then taken over by the Morelli's cousin Rolando, and today manufactures joints, bolts and other mechanical components for the car industry. [5]

The Dolomites Gold Cup Race was a car race on public roads open to traffic, which was run in the Dolomite Mountains of northern Italy for ten years from 1947 to 1956. It took place along an anti-clockwise circuit that was 304 km long and usually took about 3 to 4 hours to complete the one lap that made up the race distance, with the start and finish in the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The circuit went through many Italian towns, and it had nearly 2,000 meters of elevation change- more than 6 1/2 times that of the Nürburgring and the Isle of Man TT track.

The 23. edizione Mille Miglia was an auto race held on a 992.332 mile (1597 km) course made up entirely of public roads around Italy, mostly on the outer parts of the country on 28–29 April 1956. The route was based on a round trip between Brescia and Rome, with start/finish, in Brescia. It was the 3rd round of the 1956 World Sportscar Championship.

The Ferrari 335 S was a sports racing car produced by Italian manufacturer Ferrari between 1957 and 1958. The car was a direct response to the Maserati 450S which with its 4.5-litre engine was threatening to overpower the 3.8-litre 315 S and 3.5-litre 290 MM. Four cars were produced in total.

The Fiat 1100 is a small family car produced from 1937 to 1953 by the Italian car manufacturer Fiat. It was introduced in 1937 as Fiat 508 C or Balilla 1100, as a replacement for the Fiat 508 Balilla. Under the new body the 508 C had more modern and refined mechanicals compared to the 508, including independent front suspension and an enlarged overhead valve engine. In 1939 it was updated and renamed simply Fiat 1100. The 1100 was produced in three consecutive series—1100, 1100 B and 1100 E—until 1953, when it was replaced by the all-new, unibody Fiat 1100/103.

The Ferrari 250 MM was a sports racing car produced by Ferrari from 1952 to 1954. After the initial racing successes of the 3.0-litre Colombo V12 engine, introduced in the 250 S one-off, Ferrari produced a serial racing model. It is best recognisable for the distinctive closed berlinetta bodywork by Pinin Farina. The "MM" in its name stood for the Mille Miglia race.
