Wolf Racing Cars is an Italian racing car builder and brand based in the Province of Brescia. It was founded in 2009 after Avelon Formula purchased the rights of Walter Wolf Racing. [1]
After purchasing the Walter Wolf Racing trademarks, in 2010, Wolf Racing Cars made their debut in the Italian Prototypes Championship with the driver Ivan Bellarosa. In 2011, Wolf raced in Europe at the Speed Euro Series and in the V de V Proto Endurance Series. The Wolf GB08 using a Honda K20A engine unit won the Speed Euro Series Championship, with Ivan Bellarosa taking 6 wins. Ivan Bellarosa also won the Speed Euro Series again in 2012, as Wolf Racing Cars started to take part in endurance races at the 24 Hours of Zolder and in the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi.
In 2013, Wolf Racing Cars won the Portuguese CISP and the Austro-German SCC, Division 2. As a result, the Wolf GB08 F1 was created and obtained the FIA Formula 1 2005 homologation. At the end of the year, Wolf Racing Cars announced a sporting program in the United Sports Car Racing Series for season 2014. The car was powered by a BMW engine. [2] In 2015, the company won the Belgian Belcar, Endurance Champions Cup, and the 6 Hours of Rome at the Autodromo di Vallelunga.
On May 29, 2016, at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Wolf GB08 won a competition. During the year, the Wolf's two-seater repeated its victory in the Endurance Champions Cup, while in the United States, John Morris and Ron Eckardt obtained several successes in the series of Spring Mountain Racing (SMMR). In 2017, the two-seater sports car Wolf GB08 Tornado debuted in Australia in March. The Tornado was in several endurance competitions, including the 3 Hours of Imola. At the 6 hours of Rome, the Wolf GB08 Tornado got Wolf Racing Cars their 100th pole position.

Gianmaria "Gimmi" Bruni is an Italian Porsche factory auto racing driver who drove in the 2004 Formula One World Championship for Minardi. He is a GP2 Series race winner and is now racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, in which he gained the 2013 and 2014 GT Drivers' Titles whilst driving as a factory Ferrari driver. He won the 2008 FIA GT Championship, 2011 Le Mans Series and 2012 International GT Open and took three class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in 2008, 2012 and 2014. He also was successful at the 2009 and 2015 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, 2010 12 Hours of Sebring and 2011 Petit Le Mans.
The Imola Circuit, officially called the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, is a 4.909 km (3.050 mi) motor racing circuit. It is located in the town of Imola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, 40-kilometre (25 mi) east of Bologna. It is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. Initially used for motorcycle racing, the first race at Imola was held in 1953. The circuit has an FIA Grade One licence. The circuit is named after the founder of the Ferrari car company, Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), and his son Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari (1932–1956). It was called the Autodromo di Imola from 1953 to 1956 and the Autodromo Dino Ferrari from 1957 to 1988.
The Monza Circuit is a 5.793 km (3.600 mi) race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running when the track was closed while undergoing refurbishment, the race has been hosted there since 1949. The circuit is also known as "The Temple of Speed" due to its long straights and high-speed corners.
Teodorico Fabi is an Italian former racing driver. He competed in Formula One, IndyCar, and sports car racing. He claimed pole position in his rookie year at the 1983 Indianapolis 500. Teo is the older brother of former Formula One driver Corrado Fabi.
The Circuito do Estoril or Autódromo do Estoril, officially known as Autódromo Fernanda Pires da Silva, is a motorsport race track on the Portuguese Riviera, outside of Lisbon, owned by state-run holding management company Parpública. Its length is 4.182 km (2.599 mi). It was the home of the Formula One Portuguese Grand Prix from 1984 to 1996. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license.
The GP2 Series was a form of open wheel motor racing introduced in 2005 following the discontinuation of the long-term Formula One feeder series, Formula 3000. The GP2 format was conceived by Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, while Ecclestone also has the rights to the name GP1. The series was organized by Bruno Michel.
