Chancheng District is a district and the seat of the city of Foshan,Guangdong Province,China. Chancheng is the economic,cultural and political center of the city.
Chancheng belonged to the land of Baiyue during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States period,Panyu County from the Qin Dynasty to the North and South dynasties,Nanhai County from the Sui dynasty in 590 to the Tang dynasty,Xianning County during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period in 917,and Nanhai County from the Song dynasty in 972 to the Qing dynasty. [1]
The district lies at the center of Foshan,surrounded on the east,west,and north sides by the Nanhai District and bordered to the south by the Shunde District. Chancheng District is located in the hinterland of the Pearl River Delta,southwest of Guangzhou and central Foshan,bordering Nanhai District to the east,west and north,and Shunde District to the southeast and south,with a length of 15 km from north to south and a width of 19 km from east to west. Chancheng District is flat alluvial plain,the vast majority of which is 1.3 to 4.6 meters above sea level,with scattered small hills at an elevation of less than 1,750 meters. The landform is composed of sub-sand and silt layers,the top layer of the Pearl River Delta deposits. Most of the surface is covered by loose sediments,which are about 15 to 25 meters thick. The geology is mainly clay and other sand layers of varying grain size. The mineral resources are mainly non-metallic minerals,among which gypsum is widely distributed. [2]
Chancheng District has an average temperature of 23.6 °C (74.48 °F). Chancheng District is located in the lower reaches of the Bei River,with a total precipitation of 1599.8 mm,a total water resource of 191 million tons,a total water supply of 186 million tons,and a total water consumption of 173 million tons. In 2020,the gross regional product of Chancheng District will be ¥191.179 billion (US$30.22 billion). The value of the secondary sector was ¥67.096 billion (US$10.61 billion) and the added value of the tertiary sector was ¥124.032 billion (US$19.61 billion). The per capita disposable income of the region's residents is ¥55,141 (US$8,716). [4] Tourist attractions in Chancheng District include the Foshan Ancestral Temple and the Nanfeng Kiln. [5] In 2020,Chancheng District received a total of 7,470,900 tourist arrivals,including 19,800 international tourists and 3,301,200 domestic tourists,with a total annual tourism revenue of ¥6.451 billion (US$1.02 billion). In 2020,Chancheng District will have a registered population of 724,400,a total of 236,400 households,and a registered foreign population of 659,400,with a male to female gender ratio of 95.5:100. [4]
In 2020,Chancheng District has 262 schools of various types,including 2 secondary vocational education,11 general high schools,16 general middle schools,75 elementary schools,155 kindergartens,and 3 special education. There are 194,000 students in school and 17,700 teaching staff,including 12,500 full-time teachers. [4]
When Chancheng District was established on January 8,2003,it had five towns and eight subdistricts under its jurisdiction. On September 19,they were changed to one town and eight subdistricts. [6] [7] On June 29,2006,they were changed to one town and three subdistricts. [8]

Foshan is a prefecture-level city in central Guangdong Province,China. The entire prefecture covers 3,848 km2 (1,486 sq mi) and had a population of 9,498,863 as of the 2020 census. The city is part of the western side of the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone whose built-up area was home to 65,694,622 inhabitants as of 2020,making it the biggest urban area of the world.
Shunde is a district of the city of Foshan,Guangdong province,located in the Pearl River Delta. It had a population of 2,464,784 as of the 2010 census. Once a traditional agricultural county,it has become one of the most affluent counties in Guangdong and mainland China. Since 2009 it has been administered independently of Foshan city,answerable directly to the Guangdong provincial government.
Acheng District is one of nine districts of the prefecture-level city of Harbin,the capital of Heilongjiang Province,Northeast China,covering part of the southeastern suburbs. The district was approved to establish from the former Acheng City (阿城市) by the Chinese State Council on August 15,2006. As of 2010,it had a population of 596,856 residing in an area of 2,680 km2 (1,030 sq mi),and is 29 km (18 mi) southeast of downtown Harbin,190 km (120 mi) north of Jilin City,and around 50 km (31 mi) south of the Songhua River. Wangcheng District is one of six urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Changsha,the capital of Hunan Province,China. It is the largest district of Changsha by area. The district is bordered to the north by Miluo City and Xiangyin County of Yueyang,to the west by Heshan District of Yiyang and Ningxiang County,to the south by Yuelu and Kaifu Districts,to the east by Changsha County. Located in the northsouth of the City proper in Changsha,Wangcheng covers 951.06 km2 (367.21 sq mi) with registered population of 560,567 and resident population of 562,100. Xuecheng is a district and the seat of Zaozhuang,Shandong province,China,ever named by "lin cheng ". It has an area of 506.72 km2 and around 405,285 inhabitants (2003). As of the end of 2022,the resident population of Xuecheng District was 485,637.As of May 2022,Xuecheng District has five streets and four towns under its jurisdiction,with the district government stationed at No. 2 Yongfu Middle Road.

Line 3 of the Hangzhou Metro is a metro line in Hangzhou. The line is 57.5 km long. The Shenzhen–Dayawan intercity railway,formerly known as Shenzhen Metro Line 33,is an under construction regional railway connecting Shenzhen and Huiyang District in southern Huizhou,in Guangdong Province,China.
The Shenzhen–Huizhou intercity railway,or Shenhui ICR,is an intercity railway being planned by the Shenzhen Metro. It is part of the Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region intercity railway network. This is not to be confused with the Shenzhen–Dayawan intercity railway which is a parallel line that is also under planning but will connect Shenzhen to Huiyang District in southern Huizhou. The Huizhou section is being planned and owned by Huizhou as part of its own urban rail transit network. On November 30,2020,Heyuan's local government is proposing the line be further extended north east of Huizhou to Heyuan.
Line 11 of Foshan Metro (FMetro) (Chinese:佛山地铁11号线;pinyin:Fóshān DìtiěShíyīhàoxiàn) is a line under planning in Foshan. The first phase of the line will run in a north–south direction,connecting Hedongdong in Liwan District in Guangzhou with Rongqi Ferry in Shunde District,with 18 stations and 36.3 km (22.6 mi) kilometers of track.
Kengzi station is a station on Line 14 of Shenzhen Metro in Shenzhen,Guangdong,China,which is opened on 28 October 2022. It is located at the east of the intersection of Pingshan Avenue and Guangzu North Road,Kengzi Subdistrict,Pingshan District. The station lies east-west along Pingshan Avenue.
The Jining–Datong–Yuanping high-speed railway,also referred to in Chinese under the acronym Jidayuan high-speed railway is a Chinese high-speed railway connecting Ulanqab,Inner Mongolia with Datong and Yuanping,Shanxi Province. The line runs from Ulanqab railway station in Inner Mongolia,passes through Datong,Shuozhou,and Xinzhou in Shanxi along the way,and finally connects with the Datong–Xi'an high-speed railway. The total length of the line is about 269.6 km (167.5 mi),including 197.1 km (122.5 mi) in Shanxi. One of the important parts of the Hohhot–Nanning corridor,the Datong–Yuanping section is also an important part of the Beijing–Kunming corridor. The Jining–Datong–Yuanping HSR is an important route between Inner Mongolia and the south. After completion,the travel time between Hohhot and Taiyuan will be shortened from the current 5 hours to 3 hours.
The Yichang–Xingshan high-speed railway,also referred to in Chinese under the acronym Yichang-Zhengwan high-speed railway connection line,is a high-speed railway under construction between Yichang on the Wuhan–Yichang railway and Xingshan on the Zhengzhou–Wanzhou high-speed railway in Hubei province,China. It will form part of the Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway. The total length of the line is 109.38 km (67.97 mi),and there are 3 stations on the whole line. It is a line connecting the Wuhan–Yichang railway and the Zhengzhou–Wanzhou high-speed railway. The line will run from Yichang East station via thee Changgangling area and Xiabaoping station to Xingshan station. In addition,this line is also planned to be connected with Yichang North railway station and the Wuhan–Yichang high speed railway,also currently under construction. The estimated total investment of the project is 18.15 billion yuan,the construction period is 5.5 years,the design speed is 350 km/h (220 mph),and 94.37% of the main line will run on bridge or through tunnel. It is expected to be officially completed and opened to traffic in 2024. After the completion of the line,combined with the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou HSR to form a new east–west high-speed railway route in the Sichuan-Chongqing area,the Wuhan–Chongqing route will be shortened from the current fastest service of 5 hours and 54 minutes to about 3 hours,and Wuhan–Chengdu services will take only 5 hours. At the same time,journeys between Yichang and Beijing will be shortened from the current 8 hours to about 4.5 hours.
