A sub-prefectural municipality, sub-prefectural city, or vice-prefectural municipality, is an unofficial designation for a type of administrative division of China. A sub-prefectural city is officially considered to be a county-level city, but it has more power de facto because the cadres assigned to its government are one half-level higher in rank than those of an "ordinary" county-level city—though still lower than those of a prefecture-level city.

Zezhou County is a county in the southeast of Shanxi province, China, bordering Henan province to the south. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Jincheng, and surrounds the latter's central Chengqu, or urban area. Its population is approximately 480,000. The area under its jurisdiction was known as the "Suburban District" (Jiaoqu) of Jincheng, until it changed its name to Zezhou County in 1998. It is accessible via the G55 Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway.
The Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway, commonly referred to as the Erguang Expressway is an expressway that connects the cities of Erenhot, Inner Mongolia, and Guangzhou, Guangdong. When fully complete, it will be 2,685 km (1,668 mi) in length.
The Jincheng–Xinxiang Expressway, commonly referred to as the Jinxin Expressway is an expressway that connects Jincheng, Shanxi, China, and Xinxiang, Henan. The expressway is a spur of G55 Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway.
Wangcun is a township in Wolong District, Nanyang, Henan, People's Republic of China, located in the western suburbs of Nanyang along China National Highway 312 (G312) just east of the G312 interchange with G55 Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway. As of 2011, it has 12 villages under its administration.
Gaocheng is a township of Xinfu District, Xinzhou, Shanxi province, China, located 18 kilometres (11 mi) north of downtown Xinzhou. G55 Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway and China National Highway 208 pass just to the west of the township. As of 2020, it has 9 villages under its administration.
