China National Highway 201 (G201) runs from Hegang, Heilongjiang Province to Lushunkou, Liaoning Province. [1] It is 1,964 kilometres in length and runs southeast from Hegang towards the border with Russia before turning southwest, going via Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province and Dandong, Liaoning Province. Heilongjiang is a province in northeast China. It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point and easternmost point.
China National Highway 202 (G202) runs from Heihe in Heilongjiang to Lüshunkou, Dalian in Liaoning. It is 1,818 kilometres in length and runs south from Heihe, going via Harbin and Shenyang.

Mudanjiang is located 248 km (154 mi) from Vladivostok, Russia. In 2011, Mudanjiang had a GDP of RMB 93.48 billion with a 15.1% growth rate. In 2015, Mudanjiang had a GDP of RMB 118.63 billion.
