crDroid is a customized fork of Android based on LineageOS. It has offered unofficial releases of Android 10, 11, 12.1, 13, 14, and 15 Custom ROMs.

History and reception

Cristiano Matos developed the initial releases of crDroid in late 2012 for the Samsung Galaxy S3. [3]

In 2014, Saad Khan of Team Android highlighted crDroid's features in a detailed article. [4]

crDroid has gained recognition for its stable releases and user-friendly experience. Notable mentions include articles by Neeraj Jast in 2015, [5] Rafia Shaikh in 2016, [6] and Mathew Diekhake in 2017. [7]

crDroid's popularity increased in 2019 with the availability of Android 10 for various devices, [8] as recognized by Arol Wright of XDA developers. [9]

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the fourth smartphone under the Redmi Note series developed by Xiaomi Inc. It is a part of Xiaomi's budget Redmi smartphone lineup. It has two variants : The older version sold as Redmi Note 4 is powered by a Deca-core Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 SOC. Resurrection Remix OS, abbreviated as RR, is a free and open-source operating system for smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. UX designer and head developer Altan KRK & Varun Date started the project in 2012.

The Redmi Note 7series refer to a series of smartphones released by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi. All have 48 MP + 5 MP camera sensors. Most have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, except the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which has a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The phones support mobile network frequencies in different regions. The Note 7 is available in many local versions and a global version, compatible with mobile phone providers in most places; the Pro model is supplied in slightly different Chinese and Indian versions. The Redmi Note 7S doesn't have much difference when compared to Redmi Note 7 except in case of the rear camera, hence the production of the Redmi Note 7S was discontinued and came under the Redmi Note 7 in India but it's still available separately in China and other countries.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is a smartphone developed by the Chinese electronics manufacturer company Xiaomi for its high-end smartphone line, released in February 2016. The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 5.15-inch 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 3,000-mAh battery and a Sony Exmor IMX 16-megapixel camera. The standard version has 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage space (UFS2.0). The advanced version has the same amount of RAM with 64 GB of storage space (UFS2.0). The premium edition has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It was released 528 days after the Xiaomi Mi 4 went on sale, and the Xiaomi Mi 5 was a long time coming after a flood of flagship phones from different brands.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Bootloader unlocking</span> Process of disabling secure device booting

Bootloader unlocking is the process of disabling the bootloader security that makes secure boot possible. It can make advanced customizations possible, such as installing custom firmware. On smartphones, this can be a custom Android distribution or another mobile operating system. Some bootloaders are not locked at all and some are locked, but can be unlocked with a command or with assistance from the manufacturer. Some do not include an unlocking method and can only be unlocked through a software exploit.
