The twenty-first season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on 7 July 2024 on Seven.

Contents

Chris Brown replaced Daryl Somers who left the series after hosting the last 3 seasons. Sonia Kruger will also return as the host. [1] Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess, and Mark Wilson will be returning while Helen Richey who took off last season will be back to the judging panel with Todd McKenney not joining this season due to a scheduling conflict. [2]

The season will feature 12 couples.

On 3 February 2024, Ben Cousins was announced as the first celebrity participant. [3] The rest of the celebrities were announced on 18 February 2024. [4]

Sharna May Burgess is an Australian ballroom dancer who is best known for being a professional partner and troupe member on the ABC series Dancing with the Stars. She is the winner of season 27 of American television show Dancing with the Stars with her celebrity partner Bobby Bones, where she has also been a runner-up in several other seasons. She has also been a judge on the Australian version of the show since 2019, along with Craig Revel Horwood and Tristan MacManus.

The fifteenth season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on the Seven Network on 19 July 2015. It was the only season to be hosted by Shane Bourne, following the decision of former host Daniel MacPherson to not return. Edwina Bartholomew returned as co-host. Kym Johnson, Todd McKenney, and Helen Richey returned as judges,. while Adam Garcia did not return due to his wife's pregnancy. Bruno Tonioli appeared as a guest judge during the first three weeks of the competition.

The sixteenth season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on 18 February 2019. Due to Network 10 having obtained the rights for the series, an overhaul to the cast and crew occurred. Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller were announced as the new co-hosts, while Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood and professional dancers Sharna Burgess and Tristan MacManus were announced as the judges.

Strictly Come Dancing returned for its seventeenth series with a launch show on 7 September 2019 on BBC One, and the live shows beginning on 21 September.
