Etawah Safari Park (formerly Etawah Lion Safari) is a drive-through safari park in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was opened to the public in November 2019. It includes multiple safaris, an Asiatic lion breeding centre and a visitor centre. [2]
Etawah Lion Safari was first proposed in 2006. [3] Work was started in May 2012. The park was designed by Spanish company Art Urbà. [4] At first, six lions were migrated to the park in 2014.[ contradictory ] In 2015 a deer safari, antelope safari, bear safari and leopard safari were added and the park was renamed as Etawah Safari Park. [3] The deer safari was inaugurated on 6 October 2016 [5] [6] and the remaining safaris as well as the park itself were inaugurated on 1 June 2018. [7] [8] The park opened to the public on 24 November 2019 without the lion segment.[ citation needed ]
Multiple safaris includes a lion safari, a deer safari, an antelope safari, a bear safari and a leopard safari. [9] [10] As of November 2019 [update] , the lion and leopard safaris are waiting for approval from the Central Zoo Authority (CZA). [11]
The Asiatic lion breeding centre has twelve breeding dens. [12] It was started with eleven lions that arrived in September 2014 mostly from zoos of Gujarat. [13] Four of the lions and five cubs died because of canine distemper, [13] after which the lions were vaccinated by an imported vaccine from the US. [14] As of December 2020 [update] , the center has nine cubs who are born there. [15] [16] [17] [18]
A visitor facilitation centre includes a multimedia museum with digital signage and large format displays, and a '4D' education theatre for informing and guiding visitors. [19] [20]

Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Sasan Gir, is a forest, national park, and wildlife sanctuary near Talala Gir in Gujarat, India. It is located 43 km (27 mi) north-east of Somnath, 65 km (40 mi) south-east of Junagadh and 60 km (37 mi) south-west of Amreli. It was established in 1965 in the erstwhile Nawab of Junagarh's private hunting area, with a total area of 1,410.30 km2 (544.52 sq mi), of which 258.71 km2 (99.89 sq mi) is fully protected as a national park and 1,151.59 km2 (444.63 sq mi) as wildlife sanctuary. It is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion.

Sakkarbaug Zoological Garden also known as Sakkarbaug Zoo or Junagadh Zoo is an 84-hectare (210-acre) zoo that opened in 1863 at Junagadh, Gujarat, India. The zoo provides purebred Asiatic lions for the Indian and the international endangered species captive breeding program for the critically endangered species. Wild free ranging Asiatic lions have become extinct over most of Asia and are today found only in the nearby Gir Forest.

The Prince of Wales Zoological Gardens, was established in the year 1921 to commemorate the visit of the Prince of Wales to Lucknow. The idea of establishing Zoological gardens at Lucknow emanated from Sir Harcourt Butler, the Governor of the State.
Arignar Anna Zoological Park, also known as the Vandalur Zoo, is a zoological garden located in Vandalur, Chennai, India, about 31 kilometres (19 mi) from the Chennai Central and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Chennai Airport. Established in 1855, it is the second public zoo in India. It is affiliated with the Central Zoo Authority of India. Spread over an area of 602 hectares, including a 92.45-hectare (228.4-acre) rescue and rehabilitation centre. The zoo houses 2,553 species of flora and fauna across 1,265 acres (512 ha). As of 2012 the park houses around 1,500 wild species, including 46 endangered species, in its 160 enclosures. As of 2010, there were about 47 species of mammals, 63 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles, 5 species of amphibians, 28 species of fishes, and 10 species of insects in the park. The park, with an objective to be a repository of the state's fauna, is credited with being the second wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu after Mudumalai National Park.
Forests Department, Haryana is a department of the Government of Haryana, a state in India, that runs and maintains many protected nature areas in the state of Haryana. It has two administrative divisions: Forest and Wildlife. The department is responsible for maintaining National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Conservation Reserves in Haryana. It also provides a special emphasis on Soil and Moisture Conservation works in the hills to conserve water and deliver it to adjacent farmlands. Saifai International Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium of International Standard in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated inside the Major Dhyanchand Sports College's campus. It has a seating capacity of 43,000 people and has one of the largest scoreboard displays for a cricket stadium in India. There is an All-weather Swimming Pool, Athletics Stadium and an Indoor Stadium in the campus of the Sports College along with this cricket stadium. It was inaugurated on 1 June 2018, along with the Etawah Safari Park and Abhinav Vidyalaya, Saifai at a function in Etawah city.
