Fairbanks is a town in Shawano County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 687 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Split Rock is located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.8 square miles (90.1 km2), of which, 34.7 square miles (89.8 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km2) of it (0.23%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 687 people, 235 households, and 180 families residing in the town. The population density was 19.8 people per square mile (7.6/km2). There were 268 housing units at an average density of 7.7 per square mile (3.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.51% White, 1.89% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.44% Asian, and 1.02% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.29% of the population.
There were 235 households, out of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.4% were married couples living together, 3.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.0% were non-families. 19.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.92 and the average family size was 3.38.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 29.5% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 102.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.2 males.

Blooming Grove is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,768 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Hope is located partially within Blooming Grove. Although once much larger, currently the town of Blooming Grove consists of a few scattered neighborhoods and individual properties broken into discontinuous sections by the cities of Madison and Monona. Blooming Grove will be dissolved and annexed into the city of Madison by 2027.
