The Jacksonville Fire Museum is part of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department's Fire Prevention Division. The museum is home to artifacts detailing the history of the fire service not only in Jacksonville, but the entire state of Florida. Exhibits include photos from and a diorama of the Great Fire of 1901, a fully restored 1902 LaFrance horse-drawn fire engine, and a 1926 American LaFrance fire engine.
Fire Station Number 4 or Fire Station No. 4 is a historic fire station located at 474 Broadway in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The building historically has also been called the Collyer Fire Station. The Queen Anne Style station was built in 1890. It is a 2 1⁄2-story, hip-roofed rectangular brick building with two brick wings and a bell tower. Constructed of red brick with sandstone trim and sandstone lintels and sills on the windows, the building has a foliate terracotta plaque bearing its name and date of construction. The fire station was closed as a firehouse in 1974, when the current Fire Station Number 4 on Cottage Street opened. The interior of the building was greatly modified to accommodate offices and meeting rooms by the time of its listing on the national register. In 2014, the building is being used by the Catholic Charities of Providence. Fire Station Number 4 was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Museum and Memorial is located at Old Engine Co. No. 27, also known as Fire Station No. 27, on Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood. The museum houses old fire engines and fire apparatus, some dating from the 1880s. The museum also houses a reference library and fire safety learning center. The building was named a Los Angeles Cultural-Heritage Monument in 1976 and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The Fallen Firefighters Memorial in front of the station consists of a memorial wall listing all of the Los Angeles firefighters who have died in the line of duty and five life-size statues of firefighters.
The Hook and Ladder House No. 5 and the Detroit Fire Department Repair Shop are two cojoined structures located at 3400 and 3434 Russell Street in Detroit, Michigan. The Hook and Ladder House No. 5 is the second oldest surviving fire station in Detroit, was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The South Lancaster Engine House is a historic fire station at 283 South Main Street in South Lancaster, Massachusetts. Built in 1888, it is the town's oldest operating firestation, and a distinctive example of period Victorian architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It presently houses engines 3 and 4 of the Lancaster Fire Department.
The Denver Firefighters Museum is a museum in downtown Denver, Colorado, United States. A nonprofit institution 501 (C) (3), it consists of an 11,000-square-foot (1,000 m2) facility housing four galleries that explore the history of firefighting in Denver. Established in 1978, it is located in the 1909-built former Fire Station No. 1, a building that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979.
Mechanicsville is an unincorporated community located within Readington Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. It is located along the New Jersey Turnpike (1806), just east of Whitehouse near the intersection of Lamington Road. The hamlet once had a tavern, a store, numerous mechanic shops as well as a number of residences. As Whitehouse and Mechanicsville lost many of the businesses along the main road, the two hamlets eventually merged. The Whitehouse General Store, the East Whitehouse Fire Department and the Whitehouse United Methodist Church are in the section of Whitehouse that used to be Mechanicsville. The Ryland Inn was located in this section of Whitehouse.
The Engine Company 15 Fire Station is located at 8 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. It was built in 1909, and is one of two surviving firehouses in the city which was built to stable horses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 2, 1989. It presently houses Engine Company 15 and Ladder Company 2 of the Hartford Fire Department.
Bangor Hose House No. 5, is an historic fire station at 247 State Street in Bangor, Maine. Built in 1897, it served as a fire house for about a century. It now houses the Hose 5 Fire Museum, a city-operated museum devoted to its fire history. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The city of Birmingham, Alabama, saw a vast period of growth in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With its growth came an expansion in city services, notably the fire department. A number of new stations were constructed from 1910 through 1929, many of which are still standing. Together, ten of these historic fire stations are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Historic Fire Stations of Birmingham Multiple Property Submission.
