Foshan West railway station is a major railway station located in Nanhai District, Foshan, Guangdong, China. The station started construction on February 26, 2013 and was opened on August 18, 2017. [1] The station serves as a gateway for conventional, regional and high-speed rail services for southwest Guangdong, serviced by the Nanning–Guangzhou and Guiyang–Guangzhou high speed railways.
This station connects to Line 3 of the Foshan Metro, which opened on August 23, 2024. [2] [3]
The Foshan Metro is the rapid transit system of the city of Foshan in Guangdong, China. Guangfo line is operated by Guangzhou Metro Corporation, and all other lines are operated by the state-owned Foshan Metro Group. It is the tenth metro system to be built in mainland China. Construction began in 2002 and the first line opened on 3 November 2010. The metro system has one new line and one extension under construction.
Line 3 of Foshan Metro (FMetro) (Chinese: 佛山地铁3号线; pinyin: Fóshān Dìtiě Sān Hào Xiàn) is a metro line in Foshan that runs 46.48 km (28.88 mi) between Zhen'an in Chancheng District and Shunde College Railway Station in Shunde District, and runs 16.38 km (10.18 mi) between Lianhe and Foshan University entirely in Nanhai District. The initial section between Shunde College Railway Station and Zhen'an opened on 28 December 2022, and the rear section between Zhen'an and Zhongshan Park (south section) and between Lianhe and Foshan University (north section) opened on 23 August 2024. The full line will run from Shunde Port in Shunde District to Foshan University in Nanhai District.

Line 11 of Foshan Metro (FMetro) (Chinese: 佛山地铁11号线; pinyin: Fóshān Dìtiě Shíyīhàoxiàn) is a line under planning in Foshan. The line will run in a north–south direction, connecting Hedong East in Liwan District in Guangzhou with Xijiao in Shunde District, with 21 stations and 39.6 km (24.6 mi) kilometers of track.
