The Foundry Bridge is a historic Warren pony truss bridge, carrying Foundry Road across the First Branch White River in Tunbridge, Vermont. Built in 1889, it is one of the state's oldest wrought iron bridges, and the only surviving example in the state of work by the Vermont Construction Company, its only local manufacturer of such bridges. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. [1]
The Foundry Bridge is located in the village of North Tunbridge, providing access across the First Branch White River to rural eastern parts of the town via Foundry Road. The bridge is a single-span Warren pony truss, set on abutments of dry laid stone. The bridge is trapezoidal in profile, its trusses 72 feet 6 inches (22.10 m) in length. The roadway width is 11 feet 6 inches (3.51 m), with a total structure width of 13 feet (4.0 m). Distinctive features of the trusses indicating its age include riveted joints (an advance over older pin connections) and posts between the truss panels. The bridge deck consists of timber stringers on a wrought iron frame, supporting a wooden bridge deck. The web of truss components reflects a means of fabrication that was obsolete at the time, but still in use by the builder, who had not yet adopted recent advances in steel rolling technology. [2]
The bridge was built in 1889, its trusses fabricated by the Vermont Construction Company of St. Albans, which was the only Vermont business of the period to build wrought iron trusses. The bridge, built for the town at a cost of $876, provided access from the village of North Tunbridge to two of its major industries, Smith's Foundry (for which the road is named) and a gristmill. The Vermont Construction Company was in business from 1885 to 1901, when it was acquired by the American Bridge Company. [2]

The Braley Covered Bridge, also called the Johnson Covered Bridge and Upper Blaisdell Covered Bridge, is a wooden covered bridge that crosses the Second Branch of the White River in Randolph, Vermont on Braley Covered Bridge Road. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The bridge was built in 1904 as an uncovered kingspost truss bridge, and was covered in 1909.
The Flint Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge carrying Bicknell Hill Road over the First Branch White River in northern Tunbridge, Vermont. Built in 1845, it is the oldest of five 19th-century covered bridges in Tunbridge, representing one of the highest concentrations of covered bridges in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 10, 1974.
The Brookline-Newfane Bridge is a historic bridge spanning the West River between Brookline and Newfane, Vermont on Grassy Brook Road. It is a camelback through truss bridge, built in 1928 by the Berlin Construction Company in the wake of Vermont's devastating 1927 floods. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007 as Bridge 19, at which time it was one of seven surviving camelback bridges in the state. It last underwent a major rehabilitation in 2003-4.
The Medburyville Bridge is a historic bridge in Wilmington, Vermont. It is a steel Warren through bridge, built in 1896 across the Deerfield River, just south of Vermont Route 9 roughly midway between the centers of Wilmington and Searsburg. It stands just upstream of the Woods Road bridge, which functionally replaced it in 1985. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990; as it has no decking, it is closed to all forms of traffic.

The 1883 bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The New Hampton Pony Pratt Truss Bridge is a historic pony Pratt truss bridge on Shoddy Mill Road in New Hampton of Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It crosses the Musconetcong River between Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County and Washington Township, Warren County. It was designed by Francis C. Lowthorp and built in 1868 by William Cowin of Lambertville, New Jersey. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 26, 1977 for its significance in engineering, industry and transportation. It is one of the few early examples of iron Pratt truss bridges remaining in the United States. It was later documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1991. It was added as a contributing property to the New Hampton Historic District on April 6, 1998.

It was built in 1891 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, and is one of a small number of surviving lenticular truss bridges in the state, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. The bridge is open to pedestrian traffic only.
The Washington Avenue Bridge is a historic lenticular truss bridge carrying Washington Avenue over the Mad River in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1881, it is the oldest known surviving example of a lenticular pony truss bridge built by the Corrugated Metal Company, later known as the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, a prolific bridge maker in New England of the late 19th century. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
