The India men's national squash team represents India in international squash team competitions, and is governed by Squash Rackets Federation of India. [1]

Squash, sometimes called squash rackets, is a racket sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. The players alternate in striking the ball with their rackets onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. The objective of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. Cyrus Poncha is an Indian squash administrator and coach and former junior squash player. Born in Mumbai, he is currently based out of Chennai, and coaches at the ICL-TNSRA Squash Academy. Presently, he is the Secretary General of Squash Rackets Federation of India. He is a Dronacharya Awardee. He was adjudged Asian Squash Federation Coach of the Year six times. He has coached several squash players such as Joshna Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal Karthik, Saurav Ghoshal and Velavan Senthilkumar.

Indian Squash Academy is a squash training facility established by the Squash Racquets Federation of India (SRFI) in Chennai, India. The India Cements was one of the sponsors it had initially sponsored the 1990 facility along with the Tamil Nadu Squash Racquets Association (TNSRA). It has trained several squash players such as Saurav Ghosal, Joshna Chinapa, Dipika Pallikal and Manish Chotrani.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">World Squash Team Championships</span> International squash competition

The World Squash Team Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations. Australia have won the championship a record eight times, followed by Pakistan, which have been champions on six occasions.

England Squash is recognised by Sport England as the English national governing body of the racket sports of squash and squash 57. Based at the National Squash Centre in Manchester, it aims to increase participation in both sports.

The England team won its fifth World Team Championships beating the Egyptian team in the final.

The 2007 Men's World Team Squash Championships is the men's edition of the 2007 World Team Squash Championships organized by the World Squash Federation, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The event were held in Chennai, India and took place from 6–12 December 2007. The tournament was organized by the World Squash Federation and the Squash Rackets Federation of India. The England team won his fourth World Team Championships beating the Australian team in the final.

The 1979 Men's Stellar World Team Amateur Squash Championships were held in Brisbane in Australia and took place from October 17 to October 28, 1979. This was the last World Amateur Championship before the game went open.

Velavan Senthilkumar is an Indian professional squash player. He reached a career-high world ranking of 43rd in November 2024.

Abhay Singh is an Indian squash player. He's an Asian Games gold and bronze medalist and a triple gold medalist at the Asian Championships. Singh is also a silver and bronze medalist at the South Asian Games. As of Nov 2024, he is ranked 51st in the world.

Veer Chotrani is an Indian squash player. As of November 2024, he is ranked 82nd in the world.
