Jeldu is one of the districts in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Part of the West Shewa Zone, Jeldu is bordered on the south by Dendi, on the southwest by Ilfeta, on the north by Ginde Beret, on the northeast by Meta Robi, and on the southeast by Ejerie. Towns in Jeldu include, Gojo, Osole, and Shekute, Boni.
In November 2008, woreda officials announced the completion of a 1.5 million Birr project to improve the access to safe water in Jeldu, which included installing 13 kilometers of water pipelines, building seven water distribution centers, and constructing a water reservoir with a capacity of 75,000 liters. Funding came from the Rotary Foundation, The Hunger Project, and Ethiopian sources. [1] Woreda officials announced the following year that health station, nine health posts, 16 spring waters, four farmers training centers and 45 kilometers of road were completed at a cost of 8 million Birr. The 2007 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 202,716, of whom 99,896 were men and 102,820 were women; 14,384 or 7.1% of its population were urban dwellers. The majority of the inhabitants said they practised Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, with 49.89% of the population reporting they observed this belief, while 36.94% of the population were Protestant, and 12.8% practiced traditional religions. Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 202,024, of whom 103,150 were males and 98,874 were females; 12,456 or 6.17% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 12.3%. With an estimated area of 1,329.22 square kilometers, Jeldu has an estimated population density of 152 people per square kilometer, which is about the same as the Zone average of 152.8. [4]
The 1994 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 144,934, of whom 71,280 were men and 73,654 women; 6,972 or 4.81% of its population were urban dwellers at the time. The two largest ethnic groups reported in Jeldu were the Oromo (96.51%), and the Amhara (3.3%); all other ethnic groups made up 0.19% of the population. Oromiffa was spoken as a first language by 98.63%, and 1.32% spoke Amharic; the remaining 0.05% spoke all other primary languages reported. The majority of the inhabitants professed Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, with 76.17% of the population reporting they practiced that belief, while 14.01% of the population said they practiced traditional beliefs, and 9.51% were Protestant. Yaso is one of the 20 Districts of Ethiopia, or woredas, in the Benishangul-Gumuz region of Ethiopia. Part of the Kamashi Zone, Yaso is bordered by the Abay River on the north which separates it from the Metekel Zone and the Amhara Region, by the Oromia Region in the southeast, by the Hanger River on the south which separates it from Belo Jegonfoy, and by the Didessa River on the west which separates it from Kamashi and Agalo Mite.

Part of the West Shaggar Zone, it is bordered on the southwest by Gurraacha Enchini, on the west by Cheliya, on the north by Kutaye-Liban, on the northeast by Jeldu, on the east by Dendi, and on the southeast by the Southwest Shewa Zone. The administrative center of this woreda is Ambo; other towns include Gorosile and Meti. Ambo Zuria and Toke Kutaye woredas and Ambo town were part of former Ambo woreda.
Cheliya is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia of Ethiopia. Part of the West Shewa Zone, Cheliya is bordered on the south by Nono and Dano, on the southwest by the Gibe River which separates it from the Jimma Zone, on the west by Bako Tibe, on the northwest by the Guder River which separates it from the Horo Gudru Welega Zone, on the north by Ginde Beret, on the northeast by Jeldu, on the east by Ambo, and on the southeast by Tikur. The administrative center of this Aanaa is Gedo; other towns in Cheliya include Babiche, Ejaji, and Hamus Gebeya. Midakegn woreda was separated form Cheliya.
Meta Robi is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Part of the West Shewa Zone, it is bordered on the south by Ejerie, on the southwest by Jeldu, on the northwest by Ginde Beret, on the north by the Muger River, and on the east by Adda Berga. The major town in Meta Robi is Shino.
Dendi is a woreda in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Part of the West Shewa Zone, Dendi is bordered on the south by the Southwest Shewa Zone, on the west by Naannawa Ambo, on the north by Jeldu, and on the east by Ejerie. The administrative center of this woreda is Ginchi; other towns in Dendi include Olonkomi. Elfata Aanaa was separated from Dendi.

Part of the West Shewa Zone, it is bordered on the south by the Southwest Shewa Zone, on the west by Dendi, on the northwest by Jeldu, on the north by Meta Robi, on the northeast by Adda Berga, and on the east by Walmara. The major town in Ejerie is Ejerie town, after which the district has been named.

Part of the Kaba Shewa Zone, Dera is bordered on the south by the Jamma River which separates it from Hidabu Abote and Wara Jarso, on the west, north and east by the Amhara Region; the Abay River defines the western boundary, and its tributary the Walaqa River the northern. The administrative center of Dera is Gundo Meskel.

Part of the Oromia Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne, Sululta is bordered to the south by the city of Addis Ababa, to the west by the Mulo and West Shewa Zone, to the north by North Shewa Zone, and to the east by Bereh. Towns in Sululta include Chancho, Durba, Muger Sheleko, Rob Gebeya, Sululta and Segno Gebeya.
Limmu Sakka is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. It is named in part after the former kingdom of Limmu-Ennarea, whose territories included the area this woreda now covers. Part of the Jimma Zone, Limmu Sakka is bordered on the southwest by the Didessa River which separates it from the Illubabor Zone, on the northwest by the Misraq Welega Zone, on the northeast by the Gibe River which separates it from the Mirab Shewa Zone, and on the southeast by Limmu Kosa. The administrative center of the woreda is Atnago; other towns include Saqqa, the capital of the former kingdom of Limmu-Ennarea.

Located in the southern part of the Borena Zone, Dire is bordered on the south by Kenya, on the west by Teltele, on the north by Yabelo, on the northeast by Arero, and on the east by Moyale. Towns in Dire include Mega and Dubuluk.
