Shala is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia of Ethiopia. It was separated from Seraro woreda. Part of the West Arsi Zone located in the Great Rift Valley, Shala is bordered on the south by Seraro, on the west by the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region, on the north by Shala Lake which separates it from Arsi Negele, and on the east by Naannawa Shashamane(Aanaa); its western boundary is defined by the course of the Bilate River. The administrative center of this woreda is Aje.
The 2007 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 149,804, of whom 74,930 were men and 74,874 were women; 7,680 or 5.13% of its population were urban dwellers. The majority of the inhabitants were Muslim, with 94.81% of the population reporting they observed this belief, while 2.5% of the population said they were Protestant, and 2.12% of the population practiced Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity. Guba Koricha is a Aanaa in Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. Located in the West Hararghe Zone, Guba Koricha, according to the OCHA map (2005) is bordered on the south by Darolebu, on the southwest by the Arsi Zone, on the west by the Afar Region, on the north by Mieso, on the northeast by Chiro, on the east by Habro, and on the southeast by Boke. Woreda of Anchar was separated from Guba Koricha.
Daru labu is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. Part of the West Hararghe Zone, Daru labu is bordered on the south by the Shebelle River which separates it from the Bale Zone, on the west by the Arsi Zone, on the northwest by Guba Koricha, on the north by the Habro, and on the east by Boke. Part of the Kaba Shewa Zone, Abichu(Aanaa) is bordered on the south by Kembibit, on the west by Wuchalena Jido, and on the north and east by the Amhara Region. The major town in Abichu(Aanaa) is Mendida.

Negele Arsi is one of the woredas in the Oromia of Ethiopia. It is named after its administrative center, Arsi Negele. Naannawa Shashamane is a woreda in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. It is named after the town of Shashamene what was separated from this woreda. Part of the West Arsi Zone located in the Great Rift Valley, Shashamene is bordered on the south by the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region, on the west by Shala, on the north by Arsi Negele, on the east by the Kore, and on the southeast by Kofele. The largest town in Shashamene is Kuyera.

Part of the Arsi Zone, Merti is bordered on the south by Sude, on the west by Jeju, on the northwest by the East Shewa Zone, on the north by the Afar Region, on the east by Aseko, and on the southeast by Chole. The administrative center of this woreda is Abomsa; other towns in Merti include Reye. Guna woreda was separated from Merti.

Part of the Arsi Zone, Gololcha is bordered on the south by Aminya, on the west by Chole, on the northwest by Aseko, and on the north and east by the West Hararghe Zone. The administrative center of this woreda is Chancoo (Caanco); other towns include Timuga(Thuumuga)Jinga bilu, Kella, Haro kambela, Mine and Unke.
Hitosa is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. Aanaa of Lude Hitosa was separated from Hitosa. Part of the Arsi Zone, Hitosa is bordered on the south by Digeluna Tijo, on the southwest by Tiyo, on the west by Batu Dugda, on the northwest by the East Shewa Zone, on the northeast by Dodotana Sire, and on the east by Tena. The administrative center of the woreda is Iteya; other towns include Borujawi and Ligaba.
Seru is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia of Ethiopia. It is named after the Aanaa capital, Seru. Part of the Arsi Zone, Seru is bordered on the south and east by the Shebelle River which separates it from the Bale Zone, on the west by the Wabe River which separates it from Robe, on the north by Aminya, and on the northeast by the West Hararghe Zone. Woreda of Bale Gasegar was separated form Seru.
Robe is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. It is named after the Robe River, 80 kilometers of which flows through the woreda. Part of the Arsi Zone, Robe is bordered on the south by the Shebelle River which separates it from the Bale Zone, on the southwest by Sherka, on the west by Tena, on the north by Sude, on the northeast by Amigna, and on the east by Seru. The administrative center of the woreda is Robe; other towns in Robe include Habe and Sedika.
Sherka is one of the Aanaas in the Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. Research by Ulrich Braukämper uncovered a local tradition that traced the origins of this woreda's name to an ancient Ethiopian province, Sharkha, which vanished as a political unit in the 16th century. Part of the Arsi Zone, Sherka is bordered on the south by the Shebelle River which separates it from the Bale Zone, on the southwest by Bekoji, on the west by Digeluna Tijo, on the north by Tena, and on the east by Robe. Gobesa is the administrative center; other towns include Gado Guna.

The administrative center of the woreda is Kersa; other towns in Munesa include Ego.

It was part of former Bekoji woreda which was divided for Enkelo Wabe and Limuna Bilbilo woredas. The name Limu stands for the Arsi Oromo sub-clan, which dominantly harbored in the district and Bilbilo is the name of mountain found in the district. The administrative center of this woreda is Bekoji; other towns include Meraro.
