Kijal (Jawi: كيجل, est. pop. (2000 census): 4,375) [3] is a mukim in Kemaman District, Terengganu, Malaysia. The town is well known for the Awana Kijal Golf and Beach Resort, a luxury resort which is owned by the Genting Group. Kijal is also known for its lemang and durian. The Kijal Beach stretches for 8 kilometers with rocky outcrops in the north at "Awana Kijal" and south at "Bukit Penunjuk". The famous "sleeping giant" rock formation in the sea is located at Penunjuk beach, where a tidal estuary is often used for anchoring of traditional fishing boats. Also known as Mirul Kijal's Hometown.

Ahmad Said is a Malaysian politician who served as the Leader of the Opposition of Terengganu from March 2019 to August 2023, Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kijal from October 1990 to November 1999 and again from March 2004 to August 2023, 13th Menteri Besar of Terengganu from March 2008 to May 2013 and Member of the Terengganu State Executive Council (EXCO) from 1995 to his promotion to the Menteri Besarship in March 2008. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He is also the State Chairman of BN and UMNO of Terengganu and Division Chief of Kemaman of UMNO.

Kijal is a state constituency in Terengganu, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly.

Razali Idris is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Terengganu State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administration under Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kijal since August 2023 as well as Senator since August 2018. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN and formerly Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He has served as the Information Chief of BERSATU since March 2023.
