Esther Ouwehand is a Dutch politician and former marketing manager serving as leader of the Party for the Animals and its parliamentary group in the House of Representatives since 2019. She has been a member of the House of Representatives since the 2006 election with two interruptions.

He was a member of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy between 7 September 2016 and 23 March 2017. He replaced Anne-Wil Lucas. He previously served in the municipal council of Amsterdam from 11 March 2010 until 5 October 2016. In the municipal council he dealt with land issues and was spokesperson for emphyteusis.

On 14 December 2016 he became a permanent member of the House when he took the place of the resigned parliamentary group leader Diederik Samsom. He has served in the municipal council of Noordoostpolder since 2010. He serves as council leader of the combination Labour Party/GreenLeft.
