Lebanon is an unincorporated community in Hardin County, Tennessee. Lebanon is located at the intersection of Tennessee State Route 69 and Tennessee State Route 421 east of Milledgeville.
Interstate 40 (I-40) is a major east–west transcontinental Interstate Highway in the southeastern and southwestern portions of the United States. At a length of 2,556.61 miles (4,114.46 km), it is the third-longest Interstate Highway in the country, after I-90 and I-80. From west to east, it passes through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Its western end is at I-15 in Barstow, California, while its eastern end is at a concurrency with U.S. Route 117 (US 117) and North Carolina Highway 132 (NC 132) in Wilmington, North Carolina. Major cities served by the interstate include Flagstaff, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Amarillo, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville in Tennessee; and Asheville, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh, and Wilmington in North Carolina.
Lebanon is the county seat of Wilson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 38,431 at the 2020 census. Lebanon is located in Middle Tennessee, approximately 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown Nashville. Lebanon is part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
U.S. Route 70 or U.S. Highway 70 is an east–west United States highway that runs for 2,381 miles (3,832 km) from eastern North Carolina to east-central Arizona. It is a major east–west highway of the Southeastern, Southern and Southwestern United States. Established as one of the original highways of 1926, it originally ran only to Holbrook, Arizona, then was extended in 1934 as a coast to coast route, with the current Eastern terminus near the Atlantic Ocean in Atlantic, North Carolina, and the former Western terminus near the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, California. The current Western terminus was then truncated to US 60 / SR 77 in Globe, Arizona. Before the completion of the Interstate system, U.S. Highway 70 was sometimes referred to as the "Broadway of America", due to its status as one of the main east–west thoroughfares in the nation. It was also promoted as the "Treasure Trail" by the U.S. Highway 70 Association as of 1951.
U.S. Route 231 (US 231) is a north-south U.S highway that is a parallel route of US 31. It runs for 912 miles (1,468 km) from St. John, Indiana, at US 41 to south of US 98 in downtown Panama City, Florida. One of its most notable landmarks is the William H. Natcher Bridge, a 0.853 miles (1.373 km) long cable-stayed bridge that connects Rockport, Indiana, to Owensboro, Kentucky, spanning the Ohio River.
The Tennessee Central Railway was founded in 1884 as the Nashville and Knoxville Railroad by Alexander S. Crawford. It was an attempt to open up a rail route from the coal and minerals of East Tennessee to the markets of the midstate, a service which many businessmen felt was not being adequately provided by the existing railroad companies. They also wanted to ship coal and iron ore to the Northeastern US over the Cincinnati Southern Railway, which was leased to the Southern and operated as the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway (CNOTP), through their Cincinnati gateway. The N&K was only completed between Lebanon, where it connected to a Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway branch from Nashville, and Standing Stone.
Interstate 840 (I-840), formerly State Route 840 (SR 840), is a freeway that serves as an outer bypass route around Nashville, Tennessee. Built by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), it is also designated as Tennessee National Guard Parkway. At 77.28 miles (124.37 km) long, it is the tenth-longest auxiliary Interstate Highway in the nation. The route serves the cities of Lebanon, Murfreesboro, Franklin, and Dickson, all suburbs of Nashville.
State Route 24 is an unsigned west–east state highway in Tennessee, as it coincides with U.S. Route 70 and U.S. Route 70N for its entire duration from Nashville to Crossville. The road begins in western Nashville and ends in Crossville. It runs alongside Interstate 40 for its entire length.
State Route 70 is a primary state highway in Lee County, Virginia, running from the Tennessee state line to U.S. Route 58 in Jonesville. Its continuation in Tennessee, also numbered State Route 70, continues south to the North Carolina state line at North Carolina Highway 208.

Between its endpoints, US 19 has lengthy concurrencies with US 11, US 58 Alternate, and US 460 during its course connecting Abingdon, Lebanon, and Tazewell within Washington, Russell, and Tazewell counties in Southwest Virginia.
State Route 109 is a primary state highway in Middle Tennessee. It runs from the intersection of SR 265 and Interstate 840 near Lebanon, north through Gallatin to the Kentucky state line and I-65.
State Route 265 is a state highway in Davidson and Wilson counties in Middle Tennessee. It runs from SR 45 in Hermitage, through middle Tennessee to its eastern terminus at US Route 70 (US 70) outside of Watertown.
State Route 255 (SR 255) is a south–north road in Davidson County, Tennessee that connects U.S. Route 31 with US 70.
State Route 10 is a south–north route from the Alabama state line in Lincoln County to the Kentucky state line in Macon County.
Cedars of Lebanon State Park is a state park in Wilson County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. It consists of 900 acres (364 ha) situated amidst the 9,420-acre (3,810 ha) Cedars of Lebanon State Forest. The park and forest are approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of Lebanon, Tennessee.
U.S. Route 70 enters the state of Tennessee from Arkansas via the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge in Memphis, and runs west to east across 21 counties in all three Grand Divisions of Tennessee, with a total length of 478.48 miles (770.04 km), to end at the North Carolina state line in eastern Cocke County. Doaks Crossroads is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, Tennessee, United States. Doaks Crossroads is located at the junction of Tennessee State Route 265 and Tennessee State Route 266 7.3 miles (11.7 km) south-southeast of Lebanon. The Spring Creek Presbyterian Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Doaks Crossroads. U.S. Route 231 in Tennessee runs north–south for 121.15 miles (194.97 km), entirely in Middle Tennessee, that starts south of Fayetteville at the Alabama state line, and ends north of Westmoreland at the Kentucky state line. For the majority of its length, between the Alabama state line and Trousdale County, it is concurrent with unsigned State Route 10.
State Route 421 is a 5.4-mile-long (8.7 km) north-south state highway in Hardin and Henderson counties of eastern West Tennessee. It connects the community of Lebanon with the town of Sardis via Hinkle.
Vine is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, 12.9 miles (20.7 km) south of Lebanon in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is located along U.S. Route 231, SR 10, and SR 452. Boundaries for the community are imprecise but typically considered to be the communities of Gladeville to the west, Vesta to the north, Norene to the east, and Silver Hill to the south in Rutherford County. It shares the assigned zip code of 37090 with the rest of southern Wilson County.
